Does italy have the tri-band 3g omnia? Because if they did you can just get the rom off the samsung site.

Jake on page 10 i uploaded the rom using the grab it method... Why not try mine? I thought u were using the one i got this whole time...

Same deal...exactly 128MB and no Radio ROM. Perhaps the file size is a trait of the tool, and not an indication of error. Why not contact Buzz or Mamaich on XDA and see if they can extract PHONE.BIN from the dump?

Yeah that one extracts to RAW files...all the PDA files are there but no PHONE.BIN.

Dumping and editing the radio ROM is a whole new ballgame compared to PDA ROM cooking. This guy knows more than most;

Hi, I live in Brazil and the TIM network here sells the Omnia and claims to be 3g triband (850, 1900 and 2100).

I would like to dump the ROM of it, and send to you guys, but I dont know how to do it, I read somewhere here that its a fast procedure, I could take my own sd card to the store, play a little bit with the phone and copy the rom to my sdcard.

I just need full instructions :rolleyes:

(if the website asks you to choose a location and a DDD number, just put Sao Paulo and number 11, and then copy/paste the link again)

I got a dump from another carrier here in Brazil, VIVO, but I coudnt open it, and so I dont know how to flash it to my phone, if anyone could verify this img file and help us how to flash it to our phones, it would be nice. (I dont have a clue if this rom would or not lock the phone to VIVO network).

There are instructions for using the grab_it tool in the first post of the XDA link closer to the top of this page, seems pretty straightforward. I will take a look at the VIVO dump, but I did find this discouraging link;

I did go to a TIM store today to try and dump the ROM, but they didnt have the i900 yet, so ill try and go to another tomorrow. Here is the pt_br instructions on how to dump it:

Here is some info on Brazil's 3G network. It looks like some operators use 1900/2100 but others (TIM, Claro, Telemeg) use the 850 band. That would mean that the phones would have the 3 bands enabled non?
