Guest Alfic Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Simple: do an upgrade once agian, or check your driver. Done, the same result. ;) Drivers are fine as any other version flash vorks fine. Now I am back to DXH3

Guest BoluX Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 (edited) DXHI1 Problem Tried to update and blockes on samsung omnia screen. Went back to DXHH3 ;) I updated too. First time I tried it, it hang at 76% on the last file. Second time, it worked without any problems. I don't know about the others but every time I flashed my omnia I didn't format the internal storage nor did I do a hard reset and it all worked out. Edited September 19, 2008 by BoluX
Guest dodero Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Hi ;) A bit OT, but can anyone point me to a software that a does automatic re-installs of programs (not SPB Backup). I remember someone mentioning this and a search did not come up with anything. All these ROM flashes are taking up quite a bit of time  anyone?

Guest jonboyuk Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Okay you guys, don't get annoyed with my basic questions, but I've read the entire thread and I'm not getting it! I'm on HH3/HH3 at the mo. Not liking the battery life in the slightest, and it gets v.hot. I see we have many Roms, inc the new Italian/Spanish ones. For the sake of simplicity, if I go ahead and flash one of these, will it be a case of goodbye to my English phone, and hello to an Italian/Spanish one? Many thanks, Jon
Guest FahimF Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 DXHI1 Problem Tried to update and blockes on samsung omnia screen. Went back to DXHH3  I had the same problem when upgrading to DXHH3 because of a corrupted download or because I had not extracted the file properly from the self-extracting archive. As msjfb mentions, try downloading again and it should work since it appears to be working for others ;)

It is one of the latest, has English, and as secany mentions upthread, it does appear to resolve the issues with the phone getting very hot and battery life. So that would be the one to go for ;)

Those who have upgrade care to command on the battery life? Hope is as good as the DXHG2/4 series of Rom. Thanks landslot
Guest darth maximus Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 thanks secany! flashing right now!!!! HH3 was ok but did get hot and battery life wasn't up to par as a primary phone. checked out the change logs and it was a lot! Don't worry about the skeptics, without your ROM uploads, I'd probably have lost hope and exchanged my omnia with my wife's diamond! So keep it going and I'm sure I will be flashing all DX ROMs you share with the community!

Hope is as good as the DXHG2/4 series of Rom. I'm upgrading at the moment. Will upload to another server (if somebody hasn't beaten me to it ;)) after I do a successful upgrade. No point in uploading it if I can't upgrade myself - failure on first try so far ....

Guest efjay Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 Just upgraded from H3 and first impression is it really is fast. Normally after an upgrade a phone normally does feel fast but this rom handles like it has been tweaked to the hilt. After upgrading storage has 56MB and RAM has 54MB free. Ran the upgrade to the camera as well, now charging again to 100% before I hard reset and load apps.
Guest darth maximus Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 (edited) not sure if I'm the only one but NoGPRS program isn't working on the I1 ROM. ***my bad, did a soft reset and it's working, never had to do that in the other DX ROMs before. So don't be like me, do a soft reset before posting.*** Edited September 20, 2008 by darth maximus

Guest tropolite Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 (edited) Hey Just reporting I've updated from HH3 to HI1 with no probs. Did as suggested by selecting the "Format Device's Internal Large Disk". Update went cleanly. One thing to note that I've never had before when updating firmware previously, as I was booting up the phone after the initial reboots for the firmware changes, Omi came up with a message that a new sim is detected do you want to accept this? (or something like that), I accepted it and everything continued fine. Is this supposed to happen always after a firmware update? Also updated the camera firmware using secany's Input Code stated earlier in post. (How do I check the firmware version now to report it?) Here's some numbers for number freaks ;) PDA: i900DXHI1/DXHI1 PHONE: i900DXHI1 Storage | Program Total: 89.65 | 96.70 In Use: 32.97 | 38.21 Free: 56.68 | 58.49 (thanks secany!) This version of the Rom does not have the Chinese SIP right? Any review about the camera upgrade? Can help to try out this? Using Today 2.. click on the USB connect.. and connect to your PC.. Which storage does it connect to? Mine HH3 connect to the Micro SD not to my storage. Not sure is a bug or wat? My earlier version of DXHH3 connect to My Storage while DZHH3 connect to my Micro SD?? Thanks landslot
Guest Ericmky Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 Thanks Secany. i have upgraded my i900 and all ok. i feel this ROM very fast. Normaly i hard reset my i900, then upgrade, and all worked very well.
Guest 1Mack Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 (edited) Yep landslot no Chinese SIP. The camera from what I can tell so far is more responsive, the hand shake stablizing works much better, time to focus and shot made quicker and close ups are more focused. It give the option of storage card or my storage in the connections settings (always did no matter what verision of ROM). Overall more zippy ROM  ;) . Secany is the man.
