Camera Problem solved. you will need also the old version of the photos.0 file which is located in dcim/100sscam. I think the camera application writes down every photo you made. so, just copy the photos isn't enough.

Mine worked OK without this. I just copied the files back across to the directory and it picked them up.

Did you just replace the photos.0 file? I copied from the backup I made just before upgrading but it didnt work for me. Even tried one from July and still didnt work.

If yes Grandfix xp is the apropriate soft to do that ?

Any particular instruction before to do that ?

Yes it is posible, I guess just go with the .exe file if your omnia is unbranded (does not need Grandprix), just don't forget to install the samsung modem driver first.

Not sure what you mean here. If you mean "How do I open the file i900DXHI1_Bug_Fixed.xlsx?" then, the file is in Excel 2007 format and so you'd need Excel 2007 to open it. If you meant something else, could you please clarify?

Somebody else mentioned further up the thread that they tried the code in DXHH3 and it worked for them but it would stand to reason that you would need to do the firmware update first to probably have the necessary camera firmware update code in place to do the camera update. So I'd say flash DXHI1 first and then try the camera upgrade code - if an update is available, I believe it will do the update.

Just like to thank Secany for the HI1 ROM, the problem I had with HH3 was the same as most users, phone gets very hot fast and battery life sucked. Realised also that it happened more in low network coverage area, with good coverage, the phone remains cool and battery didn't drop.

After updating the phone, it seems faster and has been cool so far. Have yet to test GPS, but will report as I go along. Updated the camera with the code and all seems fine. Was able to read photos taken with the original F8 and last updated H3.

I'm not a photo-expert, but I find the pictures in default settings (DXHH3) not so colourful... any tips you can give to change the standard settings? Thanks in advance!

I am not in any way an expert so I am in need of tips as well. It varies by your surroundings. I typically use the presets (when I can remember :wacko: ). Maybe we should start a thread on camera setting for the Omnia ;)

I can't upgrade using the DXHI1 ROM posted on the first page.

Even though I used XP to succesfully flash to HH1 last week, the HI1 flashing program doesn't even open. It gives me some error about the file configuration being all wrong and needing to reinstall the app.

Just to see, I loaded it up on Vista and it loads fine but fails to see the i900 so the start button is always inactive.

Any help? I don't see how I'm having issues seeing as how I have flashed successfully in the past.

I agree, still hot but the battery meter seems to be more accurate. For those who cannot get the updater to recognice your device when you plug in and on the Omnia (PDA Device Not Found -Timeout), I plug in and did a soft reset and immediately it found the device and the update after that went as it should.

GPS works well with Port Splitter but seems to be slower in detecting satellite. Anyone sees this? Anyway will try it for a while before making any firm statements. This is the DXHI1 update.

As mentioned earlier, you probably downloaded a corrupted version, just re-download again and it should be fine esp since you've done it before.

The RapidShare link worked fine for me. Haven't tried the other one. Besides, if the file is corrupted, you should be warned of it by WinRAR itself. You can simply do a file test (WinRAR menu - Commands - Test archived files) and it should tell you if there is any corruption. If that's not the case, then I'm not sure what is going on. You have tried after rebooting your machine, right?

I'm trying to understand this whole ROM thing...so basically what it is, Secany changes the language of Samsung Offical ROMS? For instance on the samsung page...are the XIHH9 & DZHH3 in a foreign language or are they in English?

Thanks. It worked fine. Upgrade from XXHHB to DXHI1 with sucess. At least ont bugg was gone: the problem with Touch Player and Memory card.

Have you tried doing a Google search for the error message you receive? Can you post a screenshot of the error message here? Not that I can necessarily help you but somebody else might be able to help based on the error message ...

i have just updated to DXHI1 but when i try to do it for camera using *#2470# i see only a white page with :firmeware updating for 2 seconds and nothing else,but the version of camera is 1.09 and dosen,t changed,where i make the mistake?
