Guest datafanatic Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 am I being think and not finding the link to HI2 radio on the first page??? Maybe!! Your looking in the wrong thread: The radio can be found here on secanys thread: http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-omnia-h...1-need-to-test/ All you need is the Phone_i900XXHI2 file, start GrandPrix 1.8, select LV Image from the dropdown box, click PHONE (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT - IF YOU PUT THE PHONE FILE IN THE PDA SECTION YOU WILL, I REPEAT, YOU WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE!!!), and browse for the Phone_i900XXHI2 file. Leave everything else as is, then hit detect. Power off your phone (or soft reset), and GrandPrix will detect the phone. Hit 'start downloading' and sit back. Once the log bar at the top right has turned blue and says 'waiting for the bootloading process' (or something like that) and your Omnia has restarted, disconnect from PC. Check radio version has been updated by *#1234# from the dial pad or check Version in Settings/System/Version - if all is well it should say XXHI2. Laterz Datafanatic ;)
Guest Ratbat Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 for those, who want to upgrade via windows vista ... I successfully upgraded to DXHI1 via VMWARE workstation. Guest chillpete Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Here, i900DXHH3 bugs which fixed in i900DXHI1. It's quite a lot, right ;) Here you come. http://rapidshare.com/files/146424073/i900DXHI1.part3.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/146419217/i900DXHI1.part2.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/146411202/i900DXHI1.part1.rar If you all will excuse me for not being up to speed with this, but do I have to run all three updates i.e. part 1 + part 2 + part 3. I have only installed part 1 and the phone is working ok so far. When I have tried to unzip part 2 and part 3 my pc says that they are all the same file, so I am a little confused untill someone helps me to sort things out. If any of you kind computer wizzards can help me that will be fantastic. Peter

Will give it a try as well. One question though... updating what we call the "phone"... I understand that can have impact on the call/data performance, but also on the GPS and even Wifi or BT performance, or are those on a different chip?
