Switched bak to HK1 , it feels slightly faster and with better touch sensitivity

Honestly, I can't tell the difference between HK1 and HK2 in terms of screen sensitivity and responsiveness. They seem similar. One thing I noticed is that I have yet to get gwes.exe errors with HK2. I used to get one a day with HK1 and more frequently with HJ9.

So, for me HK2 seems more stable, so I am sticking with it until next new release. Thanks Secany.

I know you and the others complaining have definitely downloaded a ROM or 2 from this thread but you are not even grateful enough to give thanks for what you have gotten and can continue to get.

Instead you look at what others have done and gotten and refuse to do as they have done to get what they got but make a problem about it.What is ironic about myself and others who have donated not posting the download link when the man that is giving them to us asked us not to B) ? You have been slinging mud at everyone who does not agree with you and it is to "to say mildly" Rude and has no place on this forum. Please, let's get back on track.

Somethings about HK2:

1) Didn't notice if it's slower than HK1, for me looks like the same

2) No problems with screen sesitivity

3) My GPS now fix in a few seconds, all other ROMS took me about 2 or 3 minutes

4) When I go to "Pre-configuration" and select my country, my operator appears on the list. It didn't appear on other ROMS.

For me it's a keeper. Thanks Secany. B)

I am pretty happy with HK2 - though I was also pretty comfy with HK1. For me if felt like the Touch Player album view has gotten a little better. But regardless - its nice to see these roms are starting to stay quite stable. Perhaps we might get a ROM in the near future with Flash 3.1 (working with a widget SDK!)...... but that may be too much to hope for B)

I flashed the HK2 and it seems to be working OK, but unfortunately some bugs or problems that I found some ROMs ago are still there:

- the radio software is a piece of s***: it is possible to store only 12 stations (at my place there are at least 20 of them), naming the stations from the RDS is silly: if the station's name consist of two longer words from which only one is displayed on the screen you have no possibility to name the station correctly,

- it's impossible to listen to the radio with the bluetooth headset, I know it needs the antenna but couldn't it be possible to switch to the bluetooth headset with the wire connected? For me it would be OK.

- when you listen to the music with the bluetooth headset and pause for the longer time (1 minute approx.) using the play/pause button on the headphones, after resuming playing the sceen is switched on and will stay on which will make the battery flat soon when you have the phone hidden and you don't know about that.

- there is no possibility to change the font size in the Phonebook and the Call Log: for me it is too big and longer names are completely illegible, moreover I noticed that installing of some programs may change this font and you have no possibility to change it back.

I am wondering if someone has noticed those problems and is going to do something with them...

I understand your perspective on my recent behavior in this thread, but do you understand mine? Let's recap play-by-play;

1. I send donation to Secany, as much as I can deposit in my Paypal account given circumstances.

2. Secany responds with words that can't be displayed on this forum.

3. I offer to send Secany a generous donation to make up for angering him, by means other than Paypal.

4. Secany refuses.

5. I am accused by some of actions that bear no relation to me.

6. I defend myself against false accusation.

My behavior stems from a lack of respect shown me by Secany. There is dignity in defending oneself against such disrespect, whether you can see it or not. I am still willing to donate and pay Secany his due respect, but what respect is due? Let's now apply the standards you introduced to Secany's behavior.

Someone with dignity does not need more than one name. Usernames on the internet is one thing, but if you're known as Ken then your Paypal account should bear the same name. This is a red flag, a sign that the deal is not what it seems.

Someone with respect, for himself and others, does not need to deceive people about the nature of their dealings with him. I'll happily pay for the ROMs, as most of you already have. So why use the word "donate" when you can name your price? This is another red flag, another sign that the deal is not what it seems.

Secany's lack of dignity and respect for others is a textbook example of DECEIT.

Deceit

noun - Any attempt or disposition to deceive or lead into error; any declaration, artifice, or practice, which misleads another, or causes him to believe what is false; a contrivance to entrap; deception; a wily device; fraud.

I thanked Secany after downloading DXHI1 from Paul's Mediafire link. This was before he had the donation link in his sig.

Forgive me for the use of oversized bold capital letters, but you seem to be missing the following point I've already made SEVERAL TIMES with REGULAR CAPITAL LETTERS. This is a textbook example of DENIAL.

Denial

noun - A refusal to comply with a request, an assertion of untruth, refusal to believe a problem exists.

I would rather your false accusations cease than continue defending myself against them. Let's use this as an opportunity to wrap up, by using all the new words together;

If Secany had respect for me and dignity in his practice, I would donate by means other than Paypal and your denial would no longer be my problem. The irony is that his lack of integrity prevents this from occurring.

Yes, I tried in a lot of places in different times and It's incredibly fast. Even in my apartment, if i get close to the window the GPS fix in a few seconds. It's faster than my old N95.

Righ now I am looking at him with 7 sattelites fixed, sitting in my window in the 3rd floor of a 15th floor building. B)

I'm very happy with this ROM (HK2).

in the new rom, it is on by default on activesync... so whenever you connect to your computer, you will download the latest information (if you are connected to the internet)... this is a very good thing, and with this option left as default, I got my GPS fix in Google maps and Garmin in less than 5 seconds literally... B) nice one!

Just a short Question, When can we expect DXHK1 Rom to be out for non-donating users. Really could use the GPS tweaks in HK1. Mine takes forever to get a GPS fix in HJ1 without XTRA. Thank you.

And if you turn XTRA on, It does connect to your 3G go get the fix right?? Thus having extra bills to pay. Or Xtra is just something else? Sorry, I'm a noob on my Omnia.

He probably does'nt care - recall he was the one who started all this with a donation button built right into his custom rom.

Or he probably thought it would be just like any normal donation tag, ie XDA style and did'nt think that the word could be twisted in the manner that it has.

Mr S has done a fine service here and hopes he continue. If he does, that is fine and welcomed, and if he does'nt that is fine too.

And btw, there are worthier causes that deserve a donation, and that is where my money goes.

Thanks marciorr and others for the gps info.

One thing I did notice is that the camera does take a bit more time to initialise the gps. And also, gps apps that do not use agps (ie iGo) get no benefit from the xtras data. That said, iGo still gets fixes much faster then before ie fix between 15-30secs vs up to 3 or more minutes before K2.

Now that this part has been sort of fixed. Perhaps Samsung should turn to another major shortcoming - the camera, ie quality, retention of settings etc. Quality etc was exceptional with the G2 rom, HH1 was also ok but since then it has been @#%$%@#$^WE%@$%@

I found HK1 on some other website... PDAMOBIZ. It's some Thai website which i don't really understand... Is it STOCK ROM or has it been modified to something else?? EG; Lite or etc?

after downloading, The file name shows as, Dhee_i900DXHK1.exe.

I want stock ROM and not the modified one.. Does anyone here read Thai? B)

Paul... personally i don't think you should clean it up at all.

Why - well asking for a donation and then complaining about it is not right.

A DONATION can be any amount.

there is no LIMIT to a donation - from 1Cent to Whatever amount.

When a person uses the donation Paypal Link and makes a mockary of the person for donating 26cents well that in some

sense is not a DONATION the person is asking for, but that person is asking for money.

Secany should state that these are not donations - this is a Pay Me Money and you will get a rom first.

what if a person donated 75Cents? US figures.

or $1.00 to some people that is a donation.. If you have the Salvation Army where you guys live, they will accept anything - and that is the true definition of a DONATION.

Everyone is entitled to their Opinion, but Wake up and realize what the word DONATION MEANS.

so whoever donated 26cents well guess what.. that IS a donation AND that DONATION IS LEGIT. dont DISPLAY that BUTTON if you can't accept it. end of story.
