Guest Barthlon Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 I may have spoken too soon. Now that I got back to HK2 I decided to reinstall all aps instead of restoring from a back up. I then had the same list of errors that I discovered with HK3. So, it must have been the order of aps installs that are causing the errors. So, my conclusion is that there is very little difference between HK2 and HK3. I will flash back to HK3 in a minute just for the sake of having the newest rom. I know, I am an addict. just couldn't resist now, could you? :) can't wait for a hl or in a few weeks an ia!! :rolleyes:

Very irritating thing started to happen from k2, still on K3 also: Do this: Start wifi Start opera Browse a bit Exit opera wait a few seconds Switch off Wifi and... Then out of nowhere a 3G connection is made ! No emails configured, activesync shut down, doesn't happen without browsing, happens also with IE. Anybody can confirm, or have a clue how to solve it ? If you're like me on a Eu 0.75 per 15 minute (minimal) subscription this is very irritating.

Now that you have pointed it out, I also experienced this issue when I tested the DXHK2 - I'll upgrade my sample to DXHK3 and let you know..

Try to dissable the option "download xtra data when connected to WiFi" in Advanced GPS Menu. Leave only the option when connected via ActivSync. I confirm this is happening in HK1-HK3. Also, above solution works.

Guest portems Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 I guess you are using WiFi as you don't have a GPRS contract. Simply remove the modem from the connection manager. You will have to make sure you have already setup your wifi as it will reinstall the modem if you try to make a connection to the internet. As long as you have WiFi turned on it will not connect via GPRS, it will stay like that until you turn your phone off (off) or do a reset. Go.. system, connections(at bottom), connections(icon), manage my modem. Now delete the modem. Done!

If you check with total commander the root of your "My Storage" you see a file called POCKETFS.SYS (size 10k). Maybe we get tools to manage this (format / partition)? Guest jclsm Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 This last rom K3 have big problems with wifi and bluetooth. Wifi turns off without any reason and bluetooth is hard to connect to a headset already paired. :rolleyes:
