Guest PaSSoA Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 Hopefully if Paul can post his OEM/SYS files, that might help too, "My Storage" on his rom works. I did a test where I dumped the rom with nb0kitchen and build it again without packaging it and it flashes fine with My Storage intact. Only problem comes when either a) trying to build packages from pkgtool or  using buildos. Not too sure yet, but my Omnia is charging so I can't further test it till tomorrow.
Guest totolo Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 Hi all, There are some elements I don't understand and some help would be appreciated 1 - when you load i900DXHJ1.bin onto NB0 Kitchen you get in NTFS : -> RomFile.nb0 -> 125 927 424 bytes. 2 - when you click "Extract", you get a Dump folder -> 225 719 089 bytes, 4780 files. 3 - when you use PKGTool.exe to make the packages -> OEM and SYS folders -> 225 719 683 bytes, 4781 files. [Core OS] Windows Mobile-based Pocket PCs [Versions] SYS: 5.2.20270.1301 NET: 2.0.7045.0 OEM: 5.2.0.1301 [Language] 0409 - English (United States) [DPI] 96 [Certificates] CN=Microsoft Windows Mobile PCA, O=Microsoft Corporation, L=Redmond, S=Washington, C=US CN=Samsung Electronics Co. CA - Samsung Root [Missing Manifests] 45116509-e364-4775-9098-c25f0b1fbac2.dsm d92a4f0a-378a-4482-8fd3-bd127a05e4de.dsm 723fb954-d931-4348-b672-82a188e587b5.dsm fb468c58-7704-4cd6-cd87-0155c9291818.dsm 19076fa2-6b6c-1ff9-0241-2d59b32e766f.dsm 4 - when you use BuildOs.exe to go back to Dump -> 225 588 755 bytes, 4780 files. 5 - Here is the problem: when you use PKGTool.exe to see what you've made with BuildOs.exe, you get this: [Core OS] Windows Mobile-based Pocket PCs [Versions] SYS: 5.2.20270.1301 NET: 2.0.7045.0 SYS: 5.2.0.1301 [Language] 0409 - English (United States) [DPI] 96 [Certificates] [Missing Manifests] -> so, you've lost "Certificates" and "Missing Manifests" in the process and a few bytes. I would like to know if I've made something wrong in the process or is it for all the same or maybe this is not really important?
