I find that many of the cutom mobile shell skins are nice, but they tend to sacrifice some function for form.

My ideal skin would be:

- black backround (for battery and contrast)

- Not such a big clock (too much space taken up), ideally analog (there is digtal at the top if you need it)

- 4 mru buttons on NOW screen

- The rest is the 3 status icons and plenty of calender space.

- The rest can be like the classic mobile shell layout functionally.

- 20 contacts would be nice on the omnia with the extra length

- I like the combo MRU + Menu blocks (6 menu buttons and at least two rows of MRU)

So all things considered, this is close enough to the original theme, that I usually leave that one on. The weather pages, extended calendar pages aand MRU items on the Now screen are nice, as are the analog clocks.

I like the GSmart look, but I don't like to loose the calender on the now page.

The Kro skins are nice, but they do not make the best use of the name page, and I like the menu + MRU combo page.

I am still searching for the perfect shell... and I have used just about all of them... the closest I have found to my liking that works is Winterface... but it is not skinable and there appears to be battery drain... also there is not much in the way of settings for it...

Any other suggestions?

Did anyone else noticed any battery drain with Winterface? I'm deciding which shell to use (Winterface or SPB mobile).

I did not really like ifonz or Ultimate Launcher.

Touch Comander did seem ok, but in the end i choose not to use it.

SPB Mobile Shell is a mixed bag, its touch friendly, there are plenty of nice skins available and it seems stable and fast, but despite all that there is something which is just not quite right in regards to navigation and it gets to be too many clicks back and forth.

Winterface is also a mixed bag, it gives you all you need on the start screen, its very touch friendly and its very easy to add, remove and to move around the icons, but thats basically it and your stuck with the default skin look for it.

I did purchase both SPB Shell and Winterface and are using both at the moment.

Did anyone else noticed any battery drain with Winterface?

No, i can't say i have.

Both Winterface and SPB Mobile Shell have trial versions so why not just give it a go?

I will give Winterface a go. I'm currently using trial SPB shell but I don't like it much...don't know why...

SPB Mobile Shell for me. I love being able to have 5 Lifestyle Today Screens to switch to/from. My current setup is below: Screen 1 is my M2D Today clone, Screen 2 is my task and appointment screen, Screen 3 is my default Today screen, Screen 4 is my weather and Screen5 is my media page.

i got tired of the spb ms3 icons the first day i used it
