Guest taril Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 I followed this, but doesnt work. When I edit BtA2dpSnd, i RECIEVE No wowhd driver found. I replaced bta2dp.dll to WOWHD_ARM_WCE_PPC2005_Driver.dll Control Panel starts, but nothing happens when i change settings. Please, attach your bta2dp.dll file. Thanks! No no. The WaveDev.reg it is just to have the original settings of your registry. First install cab. Reboot. Do not open the program. Go to registry and change the values. Reboot. Do not open the program. Open the program. B) Im really sorry if with some guys didnt work... Of course you can restore back your sound without hard resetting or anything. You can even uninstall the program and of course revert to the previous original state of your system. I just want to help. B)
Guest zagzag99 Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 BE CAREFULL install SRS WOW We've found out that SRS causes problems to phone's power management. Once the phone turns off (according to Power Management Config) then it won't wake up other than a soft-reset. You can read all about it here : http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-omnia-h...-from-stand-by/

Guest zagzag99 Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Uff is there this problem??? Nooooo....Sigh! Myself and a bunch of people all got to the same problem after installing SRS last night. The phone after about 5 minutes being sleeping (which I found not related to the Turn Off Device timeout) will not wake up unless you soft reset. At first I didn't connected it to this installation. Only once I knew there's more people and we compared our actions, and I uninstalled SRS and saw the problem disappeared we reached this conclusion. The problem can also be worked-around if you set in the power option that your device shouldn't turn off (setting = none) But this means your battery will drain faster... in my case I see 25% loss in 2-3 hours of wait time (without one call and no WiFi). So you do you choice.
Guest sector Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 i think zagzag has a point here if it happened to many people. and yes it drains the battery really fast, it happens to mine also. if you have encounter problems with this uninstall it.
Guest squeezo Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 What does this audio util do? I like to know before I try it. Eric
Guest davidg712 Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 Download and install the attached cab. Soft reset Browse to your Registry with TotalCommander or Resco Explorer or any registry editor. Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\Wave Dev] . Overwrite the "DLL" with this value "R2VS_ARM_WM6_PRO_Driver.dll" Edit: Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\BtA2dpSnd] .Overwrite the "DLL" with this value "bta2dp.dll" Soft reset and enjoy. The app can start from Settings-->System--> WOW Effects If you screw up B) im attaching also the original registry (WaveDev) file so you just transfer it to your phone and click on it to accept the changes. Enjoy EDIT: I have uploaded a newer release pls follow the same procedure EDIT2: Newer version doesnt work wait till i find a solution B) , use the old cab. Removed the new version so you dont get confused. How do i overwrite them and which files?
Guest bobobird Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\Wave Dev] . Mine is already showing your prescribed values. Possibly already changed by some 3rd party app ?? Thanks for all you do around here.

Thanks for all you do around here. no this are the original values. the overwrite part it is just to load the omnia's sound dll file. same with bt2adp.dll as it is for the bluetooth audio. As mentioned before if u have problems with this just uninstall it. I just found a workaround that works with our mobile and wanted to share it with you.
Guest fergusso Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 Uff is there this problem??? Nooooo....Sigh! yeah there is a problem installing this stuff. I thought it was working perfectly already but then my phone .... as soon as the device turns off backlight, it wont wake up anymore ..... the only thing you need to do is to soft reset it that's it which is quite annoying. I hard reset my phone and didnt install it again, my phone is back to normal.

Guest ungcas Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Yes, it is only a headache !!! Keep away from it, just change your mp3 player program... I recommend coreplayer with custom eq settings.. I've been reading many posts about this SRS WOW for the omnia and it seems that at least 9/10 people can't get it to work.. And the worst thing is that it really messes up your phone. A hard reset is required in most cases. And to be honest I don't think it makes much of a difference. I used it with my old Asus p535(which initially had the no sound problem, but i managed to find a fix eventually). Like the poster above said just used coreplayer equalizer which IMO sounds much better.
