Guest Tango_Alpha Posted December 25, 2008 Report Posted December 25, 2008 Hi everybody! Smbd knows How to make all black background image on all widjets in manila 2d?
Guest gonilnik Posted December 25, 2008 Report Posted December 25, 2008 The original Manila 2D is designed for a QVGA screen and not the Omnia's WQVGA screen - hence it only filling up part of the screen. Try copying this to the \Windows directory on your device - it might work for you as I couldn't get it to work properly either until I changed is myself: HTCHomeSettings.xml Hello Im stuck on this.I cant find \windows directory on my device. I only have:Aplicattion data, connmgr, document and settings,my documents and program files folder. Where its windows directory??

Guest devarshi Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 Just for the next person that comes along with wifi problems, I had done everything right with the registry settings, but I had to go in to power options and un-click the power-save mode under wifi. It had reset itself when I hard reset the phone, and I didn't realize it. Still having the music problem though. Anyone found a solution?
Guest sh1n0l3i Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 PDA: i900DXHH3/DZHH3 PHONE: i900DXHH3 installed as instructions said wifi wrks but the People and Programs Panel doesnt work they wont let me add anything to it
Guest Ricc Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 Does it support Landscape Mode for example when u go on weather and such things?
Guest nicoloks Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 (edited) Very impressed! The interface is really great, however there are just a few issues which make it unusable for me in the end. 1) With the slideshow viewer and album selection screens there seems to be a bit of a QVGA/WQVGA glitch where the toolbar is not placed correctly. It is most noticeable in portrait view where the tool bar is about a third of the way up the screen from the bottom. 2) The music player never seems to load and just sits there with a message that it is searching. I have a reasonable collection of about 4000 songs in about 500 albums, however WMP is able to load all of these in seconds. This issue more than anything makes M2D unusable for my needs. I've also been looking at SPB and think I'll use it now. As far as interface goes there really isn't a lot between the two, obviously with SPB being a commercial app they have had time to give it a little more polish all over. If you don't want to pay for an interface though, this one is by FAR the best I've used! EDIT: I've also found that using M2D seems to really put my phone into go slow mode after several hours, with response times somewhere between 5~10 secs. Rebooting the phone fixes the issue, but still not ideal. Anyone else had this issue? Edited December 27, 2008 by nicoloks
Guest escobol Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 any one know how to instal htc keyboard?
Guest smilepak Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 I wonder if anyone tried this method mention here.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=431103 Basically he said to use the ELFIN version on XDA and then replace the HTCHomeSettings.xml with the modified one he made for the 400 x 240 screen we have. So basically one large cab to install rather a few small one mention in this thread.
Guest Tim T. Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 There was talk about getting the Omnia clock to work. Is this a registry edit? I prefer the Omnia version over the WM version. Thanks! Oh, and awesome work. I followed the instructions and the installation was cake! Nice work!
Guest devarshi Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 For anyone else having the audiomanager problem (where it says searching all the time), apply the audio manager fix- http://www.samsung-omnia.org/how-to/how-to...d-on-the-omnia/.

Guest Emre SUMENGEN Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 Hi everyone... I'm using Lufeig's LFI03 Rom (which is a stripped ROM, without bells or whistles, but it has a good amount of device storage free)... So, I want to install Manila2D here, but wonder which version to go for. I guess this thread documents installation of Update18 (right?) on the first post. But on xda-developers, herg has released update21 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398173)... Have anyone tried newer versions on the Omnia? Which one is the latest to go for (newest and most stable)?

Guest rokster12 Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 QUOTE(taril @ Nov 2 2008, 16:31) And how to change in People tab the phonebook app. I want the original Omnia Phonebook. QUOTE(404error @ Oct 23 2008, 22:00) I foud out how you can use the Omnia contact manager instead of the WM6 version. # Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSCONTACTS # Change "String 1" value from :MSPOUTLOOK contacts to \Windows\SECContact.exe Then softreset. The only thing that doesn't work is the left " NEW" softkey in the contacts application. But you can add a new contact by typing the number with the phonepad and than choose new contect in menu. this works great. but do you have an idea how i can change it at the picture tabs too? when i add a contact at the quickdial picture tab, and click at this contact ,the standard wm6 detail view of this contact is shown. when i open a contact via seccontact i get an other detailview than the wm6 one. i get a seccontact detailview of the contact. is it possible to open this detail view instead of the standard one of the wm6?
Guest helladios Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 Regarding V10 from pcdaviet... I have also found it one of the best "cooked" ROM's. I just wanted to say that users should know that the specific ROM has also an updated OS kernel, which should make it a little faster than the ROM's we get normally.
Guest mst_mugen Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 (edited) 17. You will need to edit the registry to be able to use the CommManager to enable/disable WiFi. Go to HKLM/software/drivers/WLAN and check that AdapterName is JAGUARGSP1. Go to HKLM/software/HTC/CommManager/WLAN and replace the name after the \TNETW12511 with \JAGUARGSP1. DO NOT edit the contents in the brackets only the name after the \. please excuse my ignorance... but where on my fone can i find the "HKLM/software/drivers/WLAN " directory??? to be more clear, i dont know what to do once ive reached step 17... any help would b muchly appreciated! thanx~! another thing i would like to add is... my clock on the home screen has "am" or "pm" clashing with the actual time.... is this meant to be like that or have i done something wrong? thanx~! Guest vaquin Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 Is this a ROM or just a theme?, because i have orginal samsung omnia with nothing on it, can i install this to get it working then?
Guest Emre SUMENGEN Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 Is this a ROM or just a theme?, because i have orginal samsung omnia with nothing on it, can i install this to get it working then? This is an application that replaces Samsung's Today screens (and better, Windows Mobile today)... But, it's also available embedded directly in some Custom ROMs... So, yes, you can install it on a stock Omnia, while the device storage might be a concern (these take a considerable amount of the little free device storage you'd have on a standard Samsung ROM). If you would like to update your Omnia's ROM, and wonder what this would feel like on your device, I suggest to go for a M2D ROM. Then, if you don't like it, you can flash a standard ROM back.

Okey, but right now im to afraid to flash my rom since i don't wanna break my phone. Since I've heard you can't give it to samsung support if you have modifed the device orginal rom because they will see it as if the guarantee is broken then.
