Guest gavinfabl Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 The eye candy on this is excellent, but I only had 3.96mb left of memory so no good
Guest kaer Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 (edited) HTC Album - Fixed Screen Resolution for i900 I was getting annoyed with the menu floating in the middle of my i900 so I fixed the screen resolution to fit properly. For those who already have the HTC Album installed into Your Device: 1. Close HTC Album in your device. 2. Download HTC_Album_Omnia_Files.zip 3. Extract and replace all files in HTC_Album_Omnia_Files.zip into \Windows 4. Delete ha_skin_cache_l.dat and ha_skin_cache_p.dat in \Windows 5. Launch HTC Album. (no need for soft reset) Edited October 15, 2008 by kaer
Guest robf80 Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 The eye candy on this is excellent, but I only had 3.96mb left of memory so no good  I have 25mb free and you can definately get near 30mb if you tweak.
Guest kaer Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 (edited) Fixed Weather tab to fit 1. Go to Start > Settings > Today > Items, disable TouchFLO. 2. Go to your device \Windows and copy HTCHomeSettings.xml to your PC. 3. Open HTCHomeSettings.xml in your PC and replace these lines. 4. Save and copy HTCHomeSettings.xml back to your device \Windows. 5. Go to Start > Settings > Today > Items, enable TouchFLO. [/codebox] Edited October 16, 2008 by kaer

I have read all the pages in the thread, but must have got confused. What do I need to install and what can go in my storage. I will try again and see what the difference is. If you use the customiser does this need to be in main memory?
Guest 3shirts Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 Is there a way to reduce the number of program icons on the program widget. I don't need as many as are there

Guest kaer Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 Hi Kaer, thanks for the fix, however is there an easy way to add this info? I tried to replace existing but M2D doesnt Launch, cheers. Try this file I have edited but take note that this is the default file from robf80HTCHomeSettings.xml
Guest Omnia_1 Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 Try this file I have edited but take note that this is the default file from robf80 Thankyou, worked it out already though  I managed to change the Calendar (on Home Tab) shortcut to execute ThumbCal. 1. Download VJBrisk app XDA Dev post #7. 2. Rename VJBrisk to Calendar.exe and the shortcut to your PIM app to (eg. ThumbCal.lnk) to VJTarget.lnk. 3. Place these two files into \Windows folder.

Then renamed the VBrisk to Calendar.exe which is located in "Program Files". shortcut to your PIM app to (eg. ThumbCal.lnk) to VJTarget.lnk. What is PIM app? I didnt understand what to do here. :D Thanks

Since you are using ThumbCal you need to: - Copy the calendar.exe file (the renamed copy of VBrisk) to \Windows overwriting the system one (you will need something like Resco File Explorer to be able to do that as it is a ROM component) - Copy ThumbCal.lnk from \windows\start menu to \windows and rename it VJTarget.lnk - Do a soft reset (I had to do this for it to take effect)
Guest 3shirts Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 My music tab doesn't work it just stays stuck on 'searching'. If I press Library it seems to try to open somethign but the toolbar flashes something but then nothing happens. Help?
Guest Quist09 Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 I would be all over this like a fly on sh*t if it were made to work in landscape mode. What does the screen look like when you flip it to landscape? Could anybody post a screenshot? (Just wondering how ugly it is) Has anybody looked into the apps referred to in this thread about Manila on the Diamond? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427230

Then go to the My Registry HKLM->Software->HTC->Manilla 2D->InternetWidget->Customized change there BannerURL to www.google.com and BannerURLTEXT if u want to OPERA 9.5. I dont know how to add more bookmarks.

Change that to the number of bookmarks you want to appear under the internet tab. You will see a key (folder) called 0, create another called 1 (and then 2, 3 etc for how many you want) and copy the conents of 0 into each of them. Then you can go into them and edit the icon, title and url. I used the HH_INTERNET_ITEM_ICON for them.
Guest cdrk Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 Thanks robf80 and kaer!!!!!! Because of your fine and easy guides I installed and fixxed (some) Manila. This theme is awesome. It works pretty good and after trying SpB shell and Winterface, this one looks tight and is easy to use. I still have to fix my Comm manager, so I'll be needing a reg edit..wich shouldnt be that much of a problem ;P Just one question. Is it possible to lock/password protect your Mail ánd SMS tabs? or even delete them from the widget bar? I dont like how it is easy accesable. Thanks a bunch!
