Guest frankmehta
i upgraded yesterday and posted here too..lol someone deleted my post anyways i updated and i find not too many differences. the messaging app is a lil faster thats it. HI3 had the worst network related issues ever i hope its sorted out in j1 besides this is a transitional phase after which we all will get to use cooked roms soon so this is not here to stay! Guest sky-net
I also updated yesterday. Everything is working fine. I didn't find any new feature yet, but the screen sensitivity is better (had HH1 before). Also it feels a little bit faster. ClearType is still enabled after soft reset  As far as I could test the internal GPS is also the same as before. No improvments here. My main problem was to get it work again with activesync...but I guess that's not because of the phone it's because of the buggy activesync software :D

Guest mazeli
i updated too and everything works fine. The only change i found out is that the streaming player is back (i updated from the german HI5 rom in which the streaming player wasn't there). Guest 1Mack
Flashed with no issues. My GPS Utility locks in a lot faster that before. My weather app updates faster as well. I have virtual pool installed (I am addicted ;) ) it has not hanged once :o . Overall speed and touch sensitivity seem improved as well. Very pleased with DXHJ1  :P :D
Guest broughs
I am having srolling problems in mail with this rom. It appears to select and highlight the text rather than scroll which it does intermittently. Usually just from top to bottom at lightning speed. Anyone else see this ? I am going to flash again and see if it disappears as well as test on my other Omnia. If it persists back to DXHI3 which I had no problems with Stu Edited October 15, 2008 by broughs

You dont need grand prix. Firstly turn off all your Antivirus or Firewall software 1. Install activsync in your xp pc 2. Connect first time the Omnia to your pc (to be recognized by the pc for the first time and to install pda driver) 3. Disconnect the usb cable from your Omnia 4. Install modem driver Samsung for XP in your pc 5. Run the DXHJ1.exe (message: waitng for device) 6. Reconnect your Omnia with the usb cable 7. Soft reset your Omnia (with your stylus. [Right upside]) 8. Once is recognized, clix START in your DXHJ1.exe program 9. Dont touch anything.....and prey :D 10. Once message= JOB DONE, you can deal with your Omnia Edited October 15, 2008 by jclsm
Guest DavidC
10. Once message= JOB DONE, you can deal with your Omnia Which will probably boot and reset itself many many times before the update it complete. This is normal, so don't start worrying when it happens. Guest Michael122w
Hi Guys, I really like this rom, is is quite speedy and I think that they heat issue seems to be a lot better. Samsung seem to be getting the inner workings of the phone finally sorted out - particularly with the screen sensitivity. They seem to have added (or maybe I didn't notice them before) some registry keys which you can adjust the screen sensitivity (they appeared in HI3) - you can find them under HKLM\System\GWES\cxHScr (and cyHScr, cxVScr, cyVScr and cyThMin) They have played with the settings between HJ1 - but you can try and optimise them if your keen. Hopefully, samsung fill try and fix the software promblems with touchplayer next!! Michael.
Guest Yunabeco
Make sure you disable your antivirus & firewall, else it will mess up with your COM ports. If a new device window popped up, click Install automatically and wait for the installation to finish. Anyway, you should be able to close & reopen the updater, soft-reset the device and try again. EDIT: Oh, and double check you installed the samsung modem driver. Edited October 15, 2008 by Yunabeco

Now what? Phone just has the Samsung omnia logo, and the green progress bar across bottom... It showed me the same message, i just unplugged it, removed the battery inserted it again and it works. Only trouble with mine now: the PHONE isn't updated, but the PDA is. I DON'T RECOMMEND DOING THIS, this is just what I did. Also I updated from an Austrian to a German ROM (to XGHI5) (Trust me, my heart skipped a few beats when I got that message) Was this the first time you flashed your Omnia? I suppose it's got something to do with the modem drivers. Edited October 15, 2008 by Wolkenbruch

Guest Quist09
I was resigned to sticking to HI1, but when I heard that the screen response was more sensitive in HJ1 and looked at the fingernail scratch marks on my screen protector, I decided to go for it. So far all is going well. Screen sensitivity does seem a bit better. Another problem on HI1 with the keyboard not providing input to certain password fields seems to have been resolved as well. Happy so far.
