HTC Album - Fixed Screen Resolution for i900

btw, what other gesture i can use to navigate around the application? i was able to zoom but dont know how i did it.

Well installed the cab

replaced al the files in my windows directory

deleted the 2 dat files

when i startup htcalbum.exe in \windows all i see is a grey screen with an x in the upper right corner.

no menu. also pressing the middle button will not show anything.

what is happening?

when i however use explorer and go to a picture and click on it it displays the photo and i can use all the HTC gestures(like circle)

also hitting the middle button shows the menu

am i doing anything wrong?

I was getting annoyed with the menu floating in the middle of my i900 so I fixed the screen resolution to fit properly. :lol:

For those who already have the HTC Album installed into Your Device:

1. Close HTC Album in your device.

2. Download HTC_Album_Omnia_Files.zip

3. Extract and replace all files in HTC_Album_Omnia_Files.zip into your i900 \Windows

4. Delete ha_skin_cache_l.dat and ha_skin_cache_p.dat in \Windows

5. Launch HTC Album. (no need for soft reset)

For new installation, please install HTC_Album_2.0_1818.3032.cab then follow the above instructions.

To remove line stroke when using the Album, using a Registry Editor... go to HKLM > Software > HTC > HTCGesture > TraceLine

Enable = 1

Disable = 0

Just start any picture within explorer and it should work

what explorer your using? try WinCMD its free or Resco Explorer tryout version and it should be there.

Does anyone know how to change the default location of the "Camera Shots" album. I'd like this to go to my DCIM folder. Checked the registry and can't find a value to change.

had to solve it myself

for all the people who want to start htc album with their favourite foto's in their favourite directory

just make any link file and put them in a directory (eg \windows\startmenu\programs\multimedia

For the Photos:

Path: \Windows\HTCAlbum.exe

Parameters: -mode:camera -type:image -directory:\My Documents\My Pictures

For the Videos:

Path: \Windows\HTCAlbum.exe

Paramters: -mode:camera -type:video -directory:\My Documents\My Videos

for dutch users like me change some directories like

programs into programma's

my documents into mijn documenten.

1. Is it a normal situation that I can't move enlarged picture by touching but only by D-Pad?

2. HTCAlbum process is not visible in TaskSwitcher/AltTab/etc. It causes that HTCAlbum can be closed only in Task Manager and it is not possible to switch task to HTCAlbum.

strange,

inoticed however that you must select a directory with pictures in it.

on my omnia the path is \Mijn opslag\DCIM\100SSCAM

the 100SSCAM is made by the camera.

check for that directory and if there are pictures inside.

I did this and it is still loading the my pictures by default, i have changed the shortcut parameters to

it's possible to have a fix for samsung i780, screen resolution 320 x 320 pixel 96 dpi... i have try to edit xml file and bmp image, but when i copied file in windows dir, htc album can't start...

2. i can see htcalbum in both task manager and task switcher.

"-mode:camera -type:image -directory:\Interner Speicher\DCIM\100SSCAM"

where one part of my photos are.

After starting the *.lnk file the same problem with the blank HTCAlbum.exe and no photos in it but the "X" at the upper right occurs.

Any ideas?

you need an explorer like resco explorer.

basically it works the same as the explorer on your computer

if you do not have it connect it to your pc and use the explore function on activesync

if you still do not know what i am talking about please follow a basic windows xp course and learn about the file explorer.

also stay away from every trick on this forum because you need to know at least how a file explorer works(either on your ppc or your pc)

yours should be like this

\windows\htcalbum.exe -type:image -directory:\Interner Speicher\DCIM\100SSCAM

for people which dont see menu buttons

go to winows folder and find : HTCAlbum.exe.0409 , look at other app with similar *.exe.04xx ,

for example for poland it is *.exe.0415

change the name of HTCAlbum.exe.0409 to HTCAlbum.exe.040xx (xx is your numbers)

for example (poland)

HTCAlbum.exe.0409 -> HTCAlbum.exe.0415

ps. i am still loking for a way to change favourite folder, but till now with no reason (i still need to use shortcut)
