Hi I finally got igo to work but i cant get it in my programms on my omnia.

it works when i go to the folder with explorer and launch igo.exe.

but i can't seem to install it and get it in my programms so

i can launch it from my main screen.

go to the folder using file explorer, then tap and hold on the igo icon and select copy, and then go up-up and go in the windows directory-startup-programs and then click on menu -tools or options or edit ( i dont remember exactly) then u will see paste shortcut.

(paste the shortcut in the programs directory within startup in windows)

it will give u a shortcut to igo in the main screen in programs but if u would like to remane it then when u paste the shortcut, tap and hold again and rename the file and it will appear the same name as u renamed it in the main programs screen.

I think the problem is the application.dat file. But the application.dat is the same as Igo.exe.

1. Make a copy of Igo.exe in a new folder.

2.In this folder rename Igo.exe to application.dat

3.Copy application.dat in the original folder, and now you have Igo.exe and application.dat in the same folder

4.Using the 2577 folder (with autorun from previous versions) you can now install Igo as fresh (not update)

All that the installation does is copy a number of files to device space (actually duplicates of what you already have in the iGo directory). Create a registry entry and a shortcut.

You would actually save space by running it directly or from a shortcut. Running it directly will also cause iGo to write something to the registry the first time, and you can create your own shortcut as described a few posts up. Everything works just fine with this method.

Which sys.txt file did you modify, as there are TWO!!

1 is in the folder iGO8 on the storage card or My Storage, the 2nd is within Program Files/iGO8.

Ensure that you change BOTH.

If it still doesn't work PM me and we can sort it out without hogging a topic.

Can anyone tell me how to tilt in 3d mode? mine is a top view and when i press the screen it only brings up the zoom functions. the 2d works fine, i press screen and it brings up zoom and tilt buttons.

with it you can start iGo8 in landscape or normal mode - you wont get an error!

Thanks truce, the sys.txt helped, but the data.zip your i900.rar does not contain 240_400 folder, only 400_240 (same problem as in my original data.zip) so it can be used "full screen" only in landscape mode. Where is the missing folder?

Did someone noticed while driving that the original car charger CAD300SBE is getting very hot?

Also that the phone after it reaches max battery capacity the charger is disconnected(all while using IGO).

I didn't test any other navigation software because before buying Omnia i used IGO on other pda

IS there any problem if the phone and the charger gets very hot?

Is there any posibility to change (in registry) the way the battery is charged( while using IGo / GPS it has to be always in charge mode )

I just installed igo8 on my verizon omnia, and i was wondering if i can use this program for path finding when i am hiking or riding around on the atv... I haven't played with it much except for driving around.. The controls are still growing on me..

Verizon omnia, isn't that the i910. I thought the GPS was locked on verizon omnia. Igo8 shouldn't be working at all.

There are only a small number of major cities at present that have 3D buildings. These textures are in the Content/Buildings folder. They do take up a huge chunk of the storage space (as well as the terrain maps) so it's unlikely they will become universal anytime soon.

So could someone please explain to the idiot newbie here (well, me). I installed Igo8, works perfectly love it, when I open the program in either landscape or portrait it works perfectly in that mode and fills the screen completely, but when I try to flip the screen to the other position it wont auto calibrate. How do I fix that?

Set iGO, to only use horizontal mode, it is in the settings somewhere, that is what I have done
