Guest Billou Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Hello  Possibility for have you rom in french version ? Thanks very much :D
Guest sector Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Hi PaSSoA, I'm very satisfacte of 1st version of your excellent ROM; the only bug for me is the impossibility to go to the "settings" via start menu; for you, it is possible for me to resolve without re-flash ? (can be that is a registry key ?). Thanks dude it is the iContact version from xda. download the iContact BurtsEdition and it will work. Uninstall the previous one NOW
Guest Master Gee Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 This rom is great!! Most bugs are gone. There are only two bugs I ran into: - Adding a hotmail account won't work (even though Windows Live is cooked in). - Smart Converter doesn't work.
Guest X-t-r-e-m-e Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Mine works great with version 2 and my parrot. No problem at all, sorry. Can anyone upload the folder /program files/touchlaunch/skins .... I removed it by accident and don't want to reflash. Never mind, downloaded from the internet and edited the skins myself.

Guest Master Gee Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Hotmail works for me. Were you able to add a hotmail account? With me first it seems to work but afterwards no account is added....
Guest sector Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Were you able to add a hotmail account? With me first it seems to work but afterwards no account is added.... Email tab in MD2. "Menu" --> Accounts --> Setup E-mail Enter your info
Guest Shadowy Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Were you able to add a hotmail account? With me first it seems to work but afterwards no account is added.... I had the same experience, added the account but it didn't appear until I did a soft reset. Today, every time I tap the email widget my phone hangs and I have to reset. I'm just in the process of doing a hard reset to try to fix it.
Guest Master Gee Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Email tab in MD2. "Menu" --> Accounts --> Setup E-mail Enter your info Thank Sector but that's what I did. I forgot to select the option sync e-mail. Now i did and it works perfectly!!
Guest mooman Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 am i able to intsall this stuff on a non-english rom?
Guest tiomo Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 (edited) OK, I'm one of the guys who requested user customisation (UC). I'm afraid it didn't work for me as after the hard reset the files that I specified in my SDConfig.txt were not installed on my phone. I'm new to UC (new to WinMo in general) and have never done this before so I won't exclude the possibility that I forgot something / messed it up although I followed the instructions in Sleuth's post over at xda-devs. I created a SDConfig.txt and I put it into the root folder of my SD card ( which would be \Storage Card\ ). Then I did hard reset my phone. No luck. Has anyone else successfully used UC on this rom? Edited October 29, 2008 by tiomo
Guest 1900hmv Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Great rom sir pass. Btw - flashlight does not work anymore. Guest djmimi Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 QUOTE(us1111 @ Oct 28 2008, 18:23) Okaye.. I created a small executable that can mimic the original as described earlier. Use it as follows: Let's assume you wan't to fool manilla to use thumbcal instead of the windows calendar: rename the original /windows/calendar.exe to calendar_.exe (Probably won't work in rom) rename first and overwrite the run.exe to /windows/calendar.exe (Accept the warning from resco) create a file "/windows/calendar.run" (alongside the custom calendar.exe) with the following line: CODE /My Storage/Program Files/Thumbcal,-va ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi, About that, with the code "/My Storage/Program Files/Thumbcal,-va", it doesn't work. It work with "/My Storage/Program Files/Thumbcal/Thumbcal.exe,-va But ThumbCal open with "context" word in all the buttons. (for ex: context.About (to replace About), context.Exit (to replace Exit). Where is the mistake? Thx.

Guest X-t-r-e-m-e Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Passoa, I managed to change backgrounds in the theme and replaced the one in M2C02 with the one in M2C01 which I liked more. Also managed to change the Touchlaunch one. But one background I can't seem to find or change. It's the background of the Comm Manager. Any directions where to find it?
Guest PaSSoA Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 It's called P_bg.png in \windows\ you probably need Resco or Totalcmd to overwrite the files though.

No problem, I have Resco installed  Thank you for the reply. Oh and last, when I made a theme with complete black backgrounds it had the next tab transparent beneath the tab I selected. Very odd, maybe the black png file was transulent. Edited October 29, 2008 by X-t-r-e-m-e

Guest Vortex Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 (edited) Hey everyone, It's great to see all you people working hard to let programs like manilla2d work perfect on our omnia's. And now we can even choose from dozens of themes which are all edited to match omnia's odd resolution. Really, keep up the good work. After using Manilla2D for some time now, it became pretty annoying that not all the widgets are in the center of the screen. Especially the Music widget and the Photo widget were both placed on the top side of the screen, leaving a pretty big empty space on the bottom of the screen. I started to study the HTCHomeSettings.xml carefully, and after some time, I managed to replace a lot of items on the different widgets so everything is in the middle of the screen! Some screenshots to clear things up for you guys: Homewidget: I placed both the calendar and the callhistory a little bit more down, so everything looks like its in the center of the screen: Photowidget: Rearranged the video and camera buttons, moved the next and previous buttons down, and placed the actual photoframe more in the center (moved it a little down and a little to the right): Musicwidget: Basically moved everything a little bit down. Increased the distance between the musicphoto and the title/artist/progressbar. Re-aligned the buttons to the right of the musicphoto. Weathertab: Didnt do much beside removing all the dotted lines. Looks better this way, but thats really just a matter of opinion. Attached to this message is my own HTCHomeSettings.xml Please note that I also edited my HTCHomeSettings to suit my personal preferences (hide/show tabs, certain pictures etc). So just copy my xml to your device probably isnt the best thing to do. Later this evening (in about 1 hour) I will attach another text-file where I explain what settings you need to change in order to get the same lay-out as mine, or maybe even design your own lay-out! I hope all this can be of use for some of you guys! For questions, I would like to refer to the topic I started in i900 rom discussion http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-omnia-r...t-omnia-screen/ CheersHTCHomeSettings.xml Edited October 29, 2008 by Vortex
Guest Gibeon Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 flashlight does not work anymore. Indeed, is there someone who knows how to fix this little nasty bug?
Guest chiber Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Very nice ROM Passoa ! Congratulations ! But do you know how to add a location in the weathertab ? I've tried to add my town by modifying this file : HH_0409_WeatherCities.xml. Now I can choose my town but the update process fails. Any idea ? Thanks a lot !
