Guest Dodger747 Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 Finished upgrading last night and must say from my limited time with it, I like it. I had been using HH3 with SPB Shell and this ROM seems much faster, the touch screen also appears to be more precise. I do however, have one small niggle. When I access Youtube the video attempts to play in Windows Media rather than Opera, is there a setting I must change to get the video to play in the browser? I would also like the default task switcher to be mapped to the original hard key, is there a way to do this?
Guest Northern-Loop Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 Hello, I can't seem to add "Device Lock" to the Mo3 firmware. Also can't seem to update the theme as it keeps saying "error in settings etc"

Thanks but I'm not too sure why you have the problem, it has always worked for me. Did you perform a hardreset after flashing? How many songs do you have? ... Not that it should matter. Hello, I can't seem to add "Device Lock" to the Mo3 firmware. Also can't seem to update the theme as it keeps saying "error in settings etc" If you're referring to the Device Lock Today plugin, than I do not think M2D will work with any other Today plugins. What theme are you trying to add? You should try one of sector's brilliant M2D themes which he painstakingly modified to fit the Omnia. Cheers!
Guest akiden Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 Hi PaSSoA, FdcSoft Task Switcher was working very well with M2D02 but it doesn't seem to work with D03. Do u have any idea? Touch scrolling on the Screen does seem a little less sensitive in D03 than D02 too....or maybe I'm just sensitive...hee

Guest Quist09 Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 Again, nice work. Not sure if the Nov. 5 update was to fix the Office bug or not, but I still had to replace those .dll's to get them to work. Maybe it's already there, but you should post those files on the first post so people won't miss them (I did and only happened upon a post about it, luckily before my business day started). Anyway, thanks again. I'll be in touch if any more bugs turn up, but so far I'm OK with this ROM. Cheers!
Guest insectskin Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 What do you think about add this app to future roms? http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-downlo...tton-v1-50.html Take a look at it. I think is a great app. And does the job very well. Just like an HTC.
Guest j0ma2 Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 Hi, First of all, I'd like to say thank you to the creators of the ROM ad Manilla for their efforts... I am a bit ashamed that my first topic in this forums is to comment things that did not work for me in this great ROM :D Following comments are for the M2D03 version. I have installed it yesterday night, so I have had no a lot of time to test it. The installation was successfully performed without any problem (Windows XP, SP3, 32 bit). 1.- Bluetooth. PC with vista SP1 cannot connect. I do not remember the error message by heart. I tried twice after rebooting PC. 2.- Audio Manager: 2.1.- The Library keeps "searching" for songs in My Device and does not complete the process (around 2GB of 128 kbps of mp3). 2.2.- It plays 30-40 seconds of the song and then it stops. AM remains opened. 2.3.- If you "lock" the phone, AM closes and the screen changes to Today. 2.3.- If the phone turns off (light off), AM closes. When you turn on the phone, you see the Today screen. 3.- Windows Media Player works ok. It scans music, it adds music to library and it plays it... but, if You lock the phone (to not change songs or open another program, make a call etc... by accident), WMP minimizes (it keeps playing) and the screen shows the Today. A bit annoying because you cannot see what it is being played. I hope above can helps you to check and improve the ROM. By the way, the look of the ROM rocks! ;) Regards, PS: if something of the above has been already resolved, please apologize me... I am still reading the 34 pages of the post
