Its a very good ROM, but

when u go to the last screen on the right to Add Programs where the + signs are, and you press All Programs, it simply doesnt do anything....

Has anyone else experieced that???

how to make manilla open silverinbox when "All messages" is tabbed PaSSoA? i suppose manilla2D.exe needs to be hex edited. i am not an expert on the hex code of Manilla therefore, i myself would not manage this change easily.

I had tried using File Explorer as well as Windows Explorer via ActiveSync, but none worked, I just hard reset and still I am unable to delete the old file or even unable to replace the file because of permission?

I can change the application that opens when i press the "All People" button just fine.

I mean when I press on a portrait of someone in people tab. It opens the default WM contact view, not samsung phonebook contact view...

So... any ideas what it launches?

the first few ROM update i had this problem too, please try to reboot your pc, don't connect any other USB device to your pc, and check to find out your USB port is USB2.0

in my case, i have 4 USB ports on my laptop, 2 are USB 1.0 the other 2 ports are USB 2.0, i had problem when i plug to the USB 1.0 port to upgrade.

well, actually whenever i plug my USB storage card or something like external drive, it'll tell me that it's faster to connect to USB2.0 , don't remember exactly what was said. there's an icon at the right corner on the taskbar for your USB devices, right click on it, from there you can find out what USB port version it is. i'm sorry, every laptop or pc is different. mine is very old laptop, lucky still keep it

if you use optical mouse & plug to an USB port, it may cause that problem too. try to use the touchpad on your laptop.

Place your album art in the specific album folder and make sure you name the album art 'folder.jpg'

i've an idea i'm sure many ppl have thought of. if PaSSoA would be able to do this it'd be lovely:

after writing the firmware & hardresetting a seperate application to add/remove these stuff written in the #1 post would be very beneficial. something like nlite vlite etc..

so after the firmware install completes an application will launch and it'll have couple of menus.

1. install a/b/c/d/ (app names) (manilla, office fix etc..)

2. remove a/b/c/d. (media player, IE, etc..)

3. customize (Registry settings, like silver inbox etc..)

I do program but i've no experience in winmo .net compact framework so i am not as of right now able to do such a thing. but well here's the idea for those who're willing do code

One suggestion!

It would be nice if pressing the center button (used for mouse pointer etc) would open Manilla 2d screen with Clock. First screen, coz it is some kind of Home screen.

Same philosophy as iPhone button.

If it's to hard to get then end call button will be OK.

Everything worked pretty well with the fixed version of 03, except the heat generation I experience when connected to USB.

Now when I say it gets hot, I mean it gets hotter than I ever felt my phone get, even way back when with the heat generated using the GPS. Fry-an-egg-on-the-screen hot (OK a little exaggeration, but not much). I have a feeling it has to do with the base HJ9 rom. Strange thing is, not much heat is generated when on GPS anymore. Hhhrrrmmm. Sounds like Samsung made a go at getting the phone to actually charge on USB this time.

That said, I'll be reverting back to M2D02 in the mean time.

Edit: OK, I know I'm waffling. In trying to think of which ROM I was the happiest with (I think it was Passoa's 1st), I started wondering if there were improvements I haven't given much thought after having gotten used to them. That and the fact that I rarely need to connect with USB sort of makes me think I'll stick with 03 at least until 04 comes out (or until I'm forced to use Internet Connection sharing through USB).

I installed RESCO File Explorer, stop the Manila2D process by disabling TouchFLO, and when I try to delete the file, I got prompt saying I cannot delete a file in ROM, is that true? am I the only one having such problem?

By the way, had the new Manila2D.exe incorporated in M2D03 fixed?

Hi Passoa,

I wanted to change serveral shortcuts to difference apps that I want to use. But it was harder with Manilla 2D to change the shortcuts. I was able to find the place to change the soft key on the home page but not other like the People and Control screen. Also on the Home page, I would like to change the history and calendar shortcuts. I notice that you were able to change them.

Also if it not to much, can you provide me a cab of Photo Slides. Once again, your roms the best!!! The pictures shows the shortcuts that I want to change with red arrows.
