Hi Passoa,

I wanted to change serveral shortcuts to difference apps that I want to use. But it was harder with Manilla 2D to change the shortcuts. I was able to find the place to change the soft key on the home page but not other like the People and Control screen. Also on the Home page, I would like to change the history and calendar shortcuts. I notice that you were able to change them.

Also if it not to much, can you provide me a cab of Photo Slides. Once again, your roms the best!!! The pictures shows the shortcuts that I want to change with red arrows.

I do have Burt Icontact 6.4.5 installed, but I want to link it to the "All People" soft key in the People page. I was going to link the phone soft key in Home page for the Idialer. <-----that i can do

But other softkeys a total different story. I look all over the Internet but no result. Seem like Passoa was able to change the shortcut linking to Samsung apps.

Just got my brand new omnia out of the box woo!

I really hate to ask but i am very paranoid not to stuff it up.

I start with installing the stuff off the CD onto a windows XP computer?

then

I run the exe? Which waits for the phone to be connected and.. bam?

Here my fast quick guide:

Important: Make sure that the phone is over 50% charge and turn off your Internet Security before flashing

- Download the latest MS Activesyc and install

- Download the Samsung i900 Omnia modem driver and install

- Plug your phone to your computer and make sure it is on so that Windows can detect the phone

- Run the Rom ---> will ask to shut down the phone

- Turn the phone back on

- Windows will ask to start the flash ---> take 5 - 10 mins

- Wait the progress bar is full and done / Phone will goes into setup mode afterward.

This is the 1st time for me to install and use M2D , the reason is that after I installed the LT02 rom, the Today 1 is not working (actually working but with no icons only with its name).

My question is , can I change / edit some of the icons on the home page < e.g. replace 2 of them by other applications or programs ?

Installed and its reallly kick ass work !

HI. i got two major issues here. hope the dev can verify this.

1. touchflo - once clicked it give the quit warning error. i guess ive must hv mess up the settings.

2. Mapking 2007 not loading. it hang in the loading

Really, I don't think replacing the original inbox by the silver inbox is a good idea :/.

I got used to the original and I think it's better.

I guess there is another bug, on the Today screen at Home Tab, the Alarm watermark stays Alarm Off even we set any alarm in the phone.

Im also having this little "problem".

Is there any way to fix it?

just some little bugs ive encountered, though nothing big.

1. All Programs of Program tab isnt working, I thought this should be linked to TouchLaunch.

2. Spb Pocket Plus, seems to hang when opening the menu by tap and holding the X button.

And is there a way to change the Links? like All People and All Programs?

reread the first page ... you need to open touchlaunch from the program menu then change the setting to replace folderview.exe

Do this and you're all programs will work. Install iContact and the All people will be much improved.

Edit: I have updated the ROM to include a few fixes, such as Office. There was a problem with the Preconfiguration and UC and also problems with some taskswitchers. Overall, I find the ROM more responsive as I think I had a bad build for the original M2D03. So those having general problems are advised to upgrade.

Also modified M2D to be more "usable" with the Omnia:

- Clicking on the clock now bring you to the Samsung Clock app. The Home screen will not show if the Alarm is On/Off, so I suggest switching it off in M2DC. If you don't like this, use M2D02 instead

- "All People" will open Samsung Phonebook with the "New" option finally working.

- Wireless Network option in Settings will now open the Wireless Manager.

I cleaned out the CSC properly this time with some great new tools from PDAClan.com and that was causing some problems in the previous versions.

Also added an option to Donate directly to me B) , thanks Paul for allowing me to use your app.

Hi my friends, as you know I was waiting for the new M2D update 20 to be working before releasing a new version. But thanks to secany, we have a brilliant base ROM based on DTHJ9. Also, I know that there are some of you who are addicted to flashing your devices, so here's a little update before a working version of M2D with landscape support is out :(

I was a little tired of the dark coloured themes and decided to go for something simple with a little more colours. Thanks to kulet78 from xda-dev for allowing me to use and modify his theme to fit the Omnia.

Changes in this version:

- Apps have been optimised, so you get more Free Storage and Program memory than M2D02

- SilverInbox included as it seems to be working now.

- Windows Live removed.

- ASPlayer(StreamingPlayer) removed, so install your favourite streaming player like coreplayer or tcpmp to view certain streams.

- TouchPlayer removed, so windows media will open files. CAB provided in post #2.

- Zoomer removed. Does anyone even use it? B)

- Fixed UC... hopefully. (please test and let me know)

- Fixed chinese fonts

- Fixed SmartConvertor

- TouchLaunch 0.0.4.7. Note: for "All Programs" to work in M2D, please run the app in Start Menu\Program and tick the option for it to "replace folderview". Also, it is recommended to minimise instead of closing the program as it takes a while to load.

Hi people, here's the next Manilla2D (M2D) version based on DTHJ6, phone version is still the same XXHJ1 but with HJ6 base ROM and according to secany "fixed some bugs in opera, 3G data comm, GPRS, network settings, etc..."

Seems slightly faster but it may be a placebo effect :(

What's new:

- Removed MB, totalcmd

- Fixed Start Menu "Settings" bug

- Added TouchLaunch to M2D under "All Programs"

- Added Windows Live, as popularly requested. (This takes up an extra 5MB or so, hence the difference in Free Storage/Program memory) Note: Live messenger works fine but Hotmail email settings still does not seem to saved in poutlook, but others like Yahoo does, so I'm not too sure what's happening there.

- Added User Customization (UC) as requested. **This is untested so please try and report back if it works or not.**

- New theme, weather icons, etc. Thanks to all who contributed, as usual, I won't be able to have done this if not for you guys.

- New version of M2DCustomizer

- Adjusted security policies so the irritating prompt on unsigned apps do not appear, so please be careful what you install or run.

- The HTCSensor APIs, tried the sensormaze game and it works fine, please test further and let me know.

- "All people" in M2D opens Samsung's scrolling phonebook, dropdown lists (Name/All) now work fine.

- Other small tweaks that I have forgotten

What's not:

- Removed apps are still the same, things like taskswitcher are apps that can be easily installed, infact there is an interesting version of a taskswitcher which RodolfoG posted here. At least the choice is yours B)

- I did not include more themes as there are a few which can be downloaded in this thread.

- Wanted to include iContact but it takes a while to pull out the contacts, so I used the Samsung Phonebook instead.

- G-alarm is pretty resource intensive so I did not cook it in the ROM, furthermore the Alarm notifications on the M2D home screen works fine so I left it as it is. But of course, you can install it if you want.

Note: UC was not cooked in properly, so please manually run SDAutorun.exe to initiate. Sorry...

Please report on any bugs you may encounter, if it is serious enough, I will do an update, if not, the next time I update will be when a newer version of M2D appears. I'll probably start working on a clean/light version as popularly requested.

Note:

1) After accessing "All Settings" from M2D tab, the "Settings" shortcut under the start menu stops working, I'm not too sure if it's inherent to M2D or it has something to do with the large start menu. Will investigate for the next version, M2D02...

2) When you start GoogleMaps the very first time, click yes to all the security warnings that will appear. Omnia's security policies are a little different to other builds so it doesn't want to be disabled.

Installation:

- Unrar with winrar or similar program

- Run .exe and follow instructions

- As with normal installation, perform it on a WindowsXP pc with proper modem drivers installed.

- If you are having problems after flashing, perform a hard-reset and try again.

It will take a little while as the flash player loads, especially on slower internet connections.

I found a bug for me at least which cannot view the processes in Task Manager (not Task Switcher).

Anyway you can download this one which better than the WM one's:

Hey PaSSoA and all others!

You did a great job, thanks for this. I flashed successfully M2D03fix and all earlier versions form you. So far so good but i cannot launch GPS Tuner if i flash Roms with M2D.

Can anyone confirm this problem?

Perhaps it has something to do with the change form NetCF2.0 to 3.5 ?

If i start GPS Tuner the logo appears but shortly after this the program close itself.

Every hint is useful to solve this problem because i like M2d but GPS Tuner also!
