Oh sorry, one more question!

I using Manilla with the VistaBlack theme...

Anyways on my main page with the clock, I have the big digital clock, with an analogue clock sticking behind it. I dont quite like the analogue being there, and Im not sure that its part of the theme that the two clocks on top of each like that, or if there was an option somewhere where i could disable one of the 2?

cheers!

2) When viewing in fullscreen from the default photos and videos tab, when I move my finger across them I get a horrible trace line of my movements on the pictures... is that normal?

Fantastic! Worked great. Thanks!

OK, So like I have said before, this has been my first ROM ive loaded on my new Omnia device, so i have a few questions, and these will realy help taylor this rom perfectly!

1) How do I lose the analogue clock from the front page? At the moment there is both analogue and digital. and they are on top of each other and looks ugly. Is there some registry/hack/option that i can change to lose the analogue clock display?

2)Is it possible to make the end call hardware button to always return you to the front page? I normally spend my time on the other end of the scroll menu, and to get to the front menu (where the clock is) takes a bit of time to scroll all the way back. So is there some hack/registry i can do that makes my end call button return me to the front manilla screen?

3) My final question is about the Manila front page.. Im new to this, so I am not sure how it all works, but basically i would like to know, does the Manila front page work like the Samsung Today screens? More specifically, can you add 'plugins' to the front page to give you extra information about apps? If not, it is dissapointing... :D If it can, then i am extremely happy!:)

I just havent managed to get it working properly or know how to do it...

Thank you for all your help guys!

1) Alternatively, if you don't want to use the Rotation Service program, you might want to use tMan or wTask. Those are task manager programs that close applications with the X button (not just minimizes them). As an added feature, you have an option to include rotation of the screen in their menu (by tap-and-holding the taskbar). The Rotation Service program is a good option (rotation is automatic) but when i was using it it was consuming around 1MB+ of RAM (checked it under processes). I dunno if this was normal since it's supposed to consume a lot less.

2) You can deactivate the trace lines by editing the registry

HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCGesture\TraceLine :)

I didn't really want an auto rotation service at all, more I wanted to have the ability to rotate the screen myself as when I see fit to do so..

So my work around was this:

Setting > Buttons > Select Button (I chose Main Menu Hold) > Assign a program (select )

So when I want to rotate the screen when using Opera for example, I simply need to hold the main menu button down and that's that :D

Cheers,

Drew.

why dont we create a program that activates and deactivates auto rotation registry setting instead, wouldnt that be more useful?

Hi, I'm having problems installing this: I've followed all the instructions but when my device turns on whilst connected I get the error "timeout" about 6 times and then nothing happens, I'm unable to press start?

Wheres the techies when we need them?

I have just experienced another problem. And this is a PROBLEM and not a nuisance...

All of a sudden, when i use the scroll menu to scroll to my e-mail messages tab, Manila locks ups. I can still use the the hard buttons to access programs, the phone isnt frozen, just the Manila menus are black and stuck. Ive soft resetted a few times, and still the same issue... I cant seem to understand why all of a sudden Manilla/touch flo breaks when I view my mail tab.... :)

anybody experienced this?

Any tips on how to recitify it?

u can simply flash with this ROM. This Rom is in English.

Make sure you have the Samsung Modem Drivers installed first on an XP machine or it won't work. You can find the Drivers somewhere here..

Cheers,

Drew.

I agree PaSSoA. I'd like to thank you very much for all your effort. If it wasn't you making this possible. I would have thrown my omnia against the wall a long time ago.

It's very stable. Looks really nice and it's fast!

I am also still using it.

Tks a lot. You have saved my omnia from dying and made me very happy.

PaSSoA also saved my Omnia :D : without his ROMs also my Omnia would have been long gone.

Omnia is quite a good device for hardware but with a really crappy software. Part is WM 6.1 responsability and part (a big one) Samsung's responsability. They rush the device on the market and still they haven't been able to release an interface that is stable and can stand up to the competition (Iphone/HTC) :) .

For sure my next phone will not be a Samsung..

Waiting for PaSSoA updated release (MD205) as soon as he thinks it's worth it.

Hi There,

Just wondering have someone ever tried to go back from MD20* to the original dutch Samsung rom?

If so , can u please tell me how you achieved this?

I love running MD204, but in case i want to switch someday then i would like to know how i have to do that.

Kindly Regards,

Oizo

No Manilla ROM will support Today plugings directly: with Touchflow activated it will not display the Today panel so no pluging.

There are a few workarounds like "Second Today"... have a look at the forum to see if these solutions are suitable for you

Hi,

just look for an original rom from Samsung and flash this new rom. That´s it.

But remember you will loose your data e.g. Calendar, Contacts...

Both, if you mean this, is NOT possible!

I use SecondToday on M2D03 as I need the SPB PhoneSuite today plugin active for the auto-profile switching to work. It is very stable and causes no noticeable slowdown or problems.

I have also customised my softkeys so I can quickly switch from Manilla's Home tab to Second Today and back.

One suggestion for M2D05:

QuickMenu 2.8

Very fast, configurable (also big menu entries!) start menu replacement (most of you will already know it)...I think it's a nearly perfect way to display the start menu, so maybe it should be used as default?

I have very confused on a problem could anybody help me????

I'm using M2D Rom and I want to clean Windows folder by removing large programs that I don't use, for example tclock.exe. I cannot delete but I can replace this files with resco explorer. So I replace them with small files to gain space. But after these replacements there is no new space??? So I replace the original files back. But this operation take extra space and reduce empty size :)(((((

Then I found a topic related with this : http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-h...ws-please-help/

I understood the reason as explained in the topic. Now could anyone help me to revert back my system to its initial state and my regain my lost space.
