(Minor Update: 08 Nov 08) Custom "Lite" (LTE02) ROM on DTHJ9 with FlashLite3.1 & UC

Sorry to trouble you all. This is my first post.

My Omnia is currently using the official DXHJ1 ROM.

I want to flash my phone with this DTHJ9 LTE02 ROM.

Can I check whether this is the procedure to update the ROM = ActiveSync4.5 -> Samsung Modem -> DTHJ9 LTE02 ROM.

If so, where can I get the "Samsung Modem" file? The Samsung Mobile website no longer has this file.

you don't really need to flash CSCi900DZHJI to get Chinese input. There is a cab for Samsung Panel in this forum.

Means that i don't need to flash the CSC for the chinese input? IS it the cab by wingw? Thanks

Hi everyone,

The LTE02 is awesome very fast and lost of memory space left.

Does anyone experience any wake up issue when having the GPSgate 2.6 still active ?

working fine if stoping the process before going on standby mode.

actually seems to bug when the gpsgate is receiving data.

Ps using as well the S2U2 unlock slide.

but if you want a simple explanation from me,

1) it is just an application that is running at first flash(just like your operators do when they run their "customisations" from cabs contained in the ROM or in HTC phones, the extended rom) which can of course be cancelled when soft resetting your phone before it can even start.

2) For UC, my understanding is, the executable is cooked in the ROM but, it looks for a txt file called sdconfig.txt in the sd card. And it is in this file you put the path of the cabs in.

Unfortunately, I am not in position to give you the whole story. So far, I am only able to get auto installation for apps that I intend to put into my device memory ONLY. As I haven't had a successful attempts that the cabs that require user input during installation.

Here's an example of me auto installing Total Commander(cab is located in my Storage Card CABS folder. in my phone memory

LOCK:Enabled

CAB:\Storage Card\CABS\cecmd.arm.cab

LOCK:Disabled

RST:Reset

For more advanced options, you got to read Sleuths' thread..

to new2city, thanks for the heads up. I have read similar things about Total Commander, i didnt realise that it was similar app. I might look into it, like you say its down to what ever you install. The command lines be same but different app names. You could take it further, but to be honest i will probably keep to installing my apps manually.

UC is crap, yesterday i hard reset my phone (HJ9 Lite02), and UC automatically initiated. After that finished in few seconds, my applications and wallpaper , my todays page, my sms, my contact, everthing are not installed as what it claimed can. Lucky I have backup using SPBbackup and everything back to where it is used to be.

So i suggest remove UC in the next ROM update and save more space.

what happened to your UC? I have been using UC ROMS(partially, that is) for more than 1.5 years since my HTC Wizard days......

I just used the Total Commander cab as an example app to installed....

Total Commander is just a free alternative to File Explorer..

I am not an expert, but have you filled in your SDconfig.txt ( I guess this is its name) , it has be filled with certain format to work.

No problems since the first version....

PaSSoA, no other task switchers or managers, just whats on the ROM, like i said, it's been there since i got the phone new. Just have to put up with it?

Also, new2city, i misunderstood what TotalCommander is. I know now. Ahem, my bad.

Anyways, still nothing to report error wise, i think the keypad is my phone problem. Nothing ever works perfect eh? Maybe new ROM can cook it out?

Really want to try Manilla, but holding back until it does landscape. LTE02 is perfect for me. I never used any apps that have been removed, even the menu. I work with a girl at work and she has same phone, standard tho. She always complains of battery life. None of that for us eh!! I have offered to flash it, but she won't have it.

Come on Secany, there surely must be a new ROM, HK1?? Maybe HK2 by now, or when we get it?

installed samsung today 2 (from xda-developers i think)from the link in earlier post but incoming phonecalls does not vibrate anymore all other vibrations still work.

Just after flashing i hard reset. thing is the moment i uninstall samsung today 2 the vibration comes back. that's y i attributed the symptom to ST2. ST2 is so useful......
