(Minor Update: 08 Nov 08) Custom "Lite" (LTE02) ROM on DTHJ9 with FlashLite3.1 & UC

FL3.1 can only view Flash8/9 sites that do not have ActionScript 3 enable, if not you will not be able to view them. Also some sites are already using Flash10, so you obviously can't view them too. You can read more about it here.

You can download the original black scheme in the attachment and copy and paste (do not unzip the file) to \Application Data\Opera9\skin\ on your device.

What to do after C&P? Do we unzip once in the skin folder or will opera do the rest

another idea: Go to \Application Data\Opera9\opera.ini in line 17 and replace "Maximum Allowed Tabs=3" by "Maximum Allowed Tabs=9".

actually, sunfon.ac3 is available for download by Paul, so, might as well remove it from the ROM, so that people who don't use/need it save some space.

I just need to flick the screen upward to switch app, to end app or end all apps. It doesnt use up the whole display only bottom part like a notification.

Why people dont use this original taskswitcher? It is so convinient when driving.

Actually, Welcome Center is removed, Sample Music removed, not removing fonts and IRDA, heard it might give problems to sending and receiving BT files.

Actually I removed zoomer too. Just forgot to mentioned it... see it just shows no one even uses it as nobody seemed to realise it was missing... ;)

Just overwrite the old file, no need to unzip. Anyway nice installation guide in the other thread, definitely helpful to newbies :D

Here is a screen capture of my root directory. As you can see, there is no "My Storage". Instead, the "My Documents" has a little MMC sign next to it. Automatically, all programs are installed under "My Documents" now (if not in ROM). Additionally to the 16 Mb of "My Documents", I have a card of another 16 Mb which you can see as "Storage Card". I have also modified the registry, so that for photos, videos, music, ringtones etc. it defaults to the relevant directory under "My Documents". No problems so far!

I wonder if we just changed the name to " Program Files or Application data of My storage " is that could work.

btw, whats zoomer.exe? lol is that the zoom function thats built in when reading sms' messages etc?

Can the expert like Paul and Passoa cook a manila 2D ROM with the added followings:

1) Task switcher, FlashLite 3.1

2) Coreplayer with youtube plugin (the cab won't play youtube)

3) A good youtube player like the iPhone (youtubeplay can't not play a high resolution video) :lol:

4) Resco Explorer (free?)

5) HTC sensor support files for its games

6) A clock alarm plugin that sounds the alarm even the phone is in silent mode ;) (never see a phone that can do that), and also can play selected mp3

7) A phone book app that can edit/copy/paste a pre-dial or dialed number (can touch anywhere on the number to insert or remove the digits), be able to save another number from the dialer to a saved contact, AND the most important thing is to GET RID of the annoying lock screen or "touch the functional keypad to unlock" the screen while on call :D , be able to delete any number with two steps only (select, delete)

8) Screen capture, RJV ring/music file setter

The hack works on every rom. In fact, I have Passoa's 2nd ROM installed. The steps:

1) Install ROM of your choice.

2) Remote connect on your phone with ActivSync.

3) Apply Microsoft's "MS EnableRAPI" (find it on google) which unprotects the registry.

4) Get a good remote registry editor. I used "Registry Workshop 4.0" fro www.tochsoft.com

5) Find all occurences of "My Storage" in the registry. Mine were 52 (remember, on a clean installation)

6) Replace all occurences with "My Documents".

7) Soft reset

Presto!

Now, install anything you want. Bu default, it will ask you if you want to install in "My Device" or in "my Documents" etc. It will even create the "Program Files" under "My Documents" itself.

Edit: Between steps (3) and (4), remember to rename your original "My Documents" to something else... and after rebooting, and after you copy all Templated to your new "My DOcuments", you delete it.

I have also used SKTools to move everything else there that could be moved... i.e. Internet Cache, history etc.

No problems so far. I installed all my applications and everything works fine. Very fast and reliable.

A note for the "Black Screen of Death"... it occured to me when I installed certain programs (small utilities). When I looked into it and removed them, never had it again... so, it is most possibly a software/application issue, not a ROM issue.

I want to add the German City " BOCHOLT".

This sounds superb. However, may I know how does the USBSetting behave now? I mean, we normally switch between My Storage and Storage Card, how about now?

edit: Don't worry, bit the bullet and confirmed that all is fine on my own... Still, UC doesn't seem to work for me... nobody got answers?
