Thank you Pille69 best MOD for me :D An mscr file is a Mortscript. I had to go back and edit all of my Mortscript files that had static links to My Storage and change them to My Documents. The reference to My Storage may be in the ScanStatus.mscr file itself or in another script or link (like a link in your Windows start menu) that refers to the script. Good luck!

Would be great to get this solved. I've also noticed that pword cannot find the standard template file, but doesn't throw an error. I have a feeling it has to do with how I got rid of the old My Documents folder (renamed to My Documents_1, then copied files over to the new My Documents after a softreset, and deleted My Documents_1). Either there was a hidden reference file that didn't get moved or there's still a reference to My Documents_1 hiding in my registry. Will check and post my findings as well.

Guest helladios Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 (edited) Honestly, I don't really know how a screen dump gets a picture framed in a mock-up of the Omnia without somehow adjusting it - the screen is just the screen. On the original image, I also noted some pixelation just below the My Documents that cuts off the tops of the P and the F of "Program Files". If you use "Pocket Controller Pro", as I do, and if you download the appropriate skin for Omnia, as I did, when you capture the screen (from "Pocket Controller Pro"), it will be shown like this, i.e. with the skin. I am sure there are methods for screen captures, but this is my favourite. Edited November 3, 2008 by helladios

I don't know if there's going to be a problem with when I flash the phone now and leave the My Storage as My Documents, did any body flash it already and know for issues? But anyway I'm going to try it out tomorrow and hope it'll be fine, first I'm going to do after flashing is edit the REG and hope all is going to be fine :lol:

Not knowing of the existance of an option like that coupled with the pixelation had me feeling a bit suspect for a good 48 hours. Thanks for the extra info. In other news, I jumped this ship given the error I referred to earlier and the feeling that my system slowed down a bit with the hack in place. The way I use multimedia and other space-draining apps, it doesn't really save me all that much space. To be sure I didn't miss any reg changes, I hard reset and went through my regular set-up and am now back up to speed with My Storage sans the errors. Edited November 4, 2008 by Quist09

Guest dede99 Posted November 8, 2008 Report Posted November 8, 2008 I got strange issue here, my documents moved back to my device by it self but the registration stayed @ the correct settings it just made out of my storage=My Documents2 and the original My Documents appear back on My Device. I know I didn't change anything except I did use yesterday internet explorer and MSN but it didn't work the right way my phone slowed down and I got a freeze. Did anybody got same issue's ? This is just strange but I delete the doc's on my device and Soft Reset my device and all is back again as it spouse to be.

Heres the steps I followed: 1 - Copy Reg File to Device! (I copied to external storage card) 2 - Install a reg editor! (I used Resco Explorer and Reg Add on) 3 - Rename My Documents to My Documents_old 4 - Open reg file with resco explorer and import to registry 5 - Soft reset Device 6 - Copy Folders from My Documents_Old to the new My Documents 7 - Delete My Documents_Old Thats It! Dunno If this has been done before but I cant see it anywhere so there ya go for anyone who wants it! Replace My Storage as My Documents.zip

I'm now on MCR03 before it was MCR02. that is normal actually. It's because you forgot to rename the original My Documents to something else, after the registry change and you rebooted. Just delete the new My Documents folder and soft reset. Your My Storage will become My Documents after this..
