Guest fifara Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 Hi all! After updating to the Manilla2D (M2D) version based on DTHJ6 Rom, I have some troubles. When I was using it, the phone was working well, but I found some bugs and decided to go back to a "more classic" rom (DTHJ5), but the installation went wrong. The pda part was updated, but the phone gives me an error (it can't open a port). So now I'm stuck with my Omnia and I can't turn on the cellular radio. Finally I decided to go back to M2D02 rom, but with no success. Version:PDA: i900DTHJ6/M2D02PHONE: M2D02If anyone has an idea how to repair my phone I'll be very grateful! Thanks in advance

Guest Unisoldrew Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 This happened to me. I think it's to do with the USB port opening too slow. If you run the installation again it should work ok. Good luck.
Guest squall_samanosuke Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 Hello everybody, I'm in the same situation and I've tried everything (with no success). I'm now trying to flash the Omnia with an official rom but the first attempt didn't go well. I'm going to do it another time but hopeless.... I think that we haven't more options than Samsung technical service... Thank you everybody in this forum for your help. Bye!
Guest Hydroxpert Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 hmm that error happens when the computer is installing the drivers to detect the phone part of the omnia. if the drivers do not install before the 25 count timer is over, the updater will give that error. if that happens, simply close the failed updator, and then run the updator again, and flash all over again as you did before. it will then work  but make sure that the prompt for "drivers were successfully installed" appear in the taskbar of your system. good luck!
Guest squall_samanosuke Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 (edited) If the phone part is broken the PC won't detect anything. I've tried everything (uninstalling Samsung Modem Drivers & Active Sync) but nothing was successful. The PC can't access to the phone part (because is damaged or whatever... and because of that it can't detect the phone with Samsung Drivers and can't open a COM port...) I think that technical service is the only solution... Edited November 1, 2008 by squall_samanosuke
