Got tired of the Omnias Menu old look (dull white background,dull icons,brown menu bar etc.) so I customized it (took me hours)

Before:

Now, here's my Omnia menu looks like:

Works in landscape mode too...

If you want to try my customized Omnia Menu:

1. With Resco Explorer or Total Commander search the file "Launcher.exe.T1.skin" in the /Windows folder (default Omnia file explorer cannot copy/cut/overwrite system files so use Resco Explorer).

2. Copy it to another folder (for back up purpose)

3. Download the attached file(See post #3 for the file). Edit its properties, make it: read-only,hidden and system file (with pc or with Resco Explorer).

4. In the /Windows folder overwrite the "Launcher.exe.T1.skin" with my "Launcher.exe.T1.skin" file

5. Restart Device. Enjoy

If want to have the default Omnia Menu again, just place the original "Launcher.exe.T1.skin" file in the /Windows folder.

(For the file see post # 3)

NOTE: Please take time to post some feedback on this thread. Over a hundred have downloaded the file, so pls. let me know if it worked or bricked your device (joke)j. Give some comments or just a plain thanks would be fine...Thanks B)

welll im using pe explorer, added my icons and to see if they work i transfered it to my phone but wont let me over ride am i missing a step? and about the bitmap? where can i get some dark grey ones? MATTER A FACT I WILL DONATE TO SOMEONE WHO CAN MAKE IT THE WAY I WANT IT

I'm going to do my best at answering some of questions that seem to keep popping up. At least as best I can.

Get a copy of PE Explorer

Your icons will be under png

Your background stuff will be under bitmap

There are portrait and landscape backgrounds that must be set, thats how you get it to rotate properly.

Icons should be 56x60

The backgrounds im not sure on the size, i just copy and paste them.

anyway, im sorry if everyone knew this, its just stuff i didnt know until a few days ago. i figured theres probably people in the same boat as i was, really wanting to do this but being clueless.

and to transfer over the new background close the main menu in task manager

use total commander, go to windows folder, search launcher, and set the file to have a - near read only

go to the folder of the new 'skin'

set it to be a plus near everything and move it to windows

wait a few seconds

soft reset

i knew how to transfer to phone and i knew about pe explorer but i didnt know the png icons had to be 54x60 thanks for the help and im very interested in the tile blue

ok thanks to those who helped me and all the people trying to make there omnia better i made my own menu B)

edit: i found one problem. i changed all the letter icons to plaind black but they still appear blue on my device. any ideas why and how to fix? i tried making them agai but same issue
