Guest mikelaaron Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 (edited) I searched and found that this was discussed back in 2006, but I am unable to find any recent discussion on it. I'm using a Sony Ericsson Xperia here in the US. My company has Exchange Server 2007, and the Xperia gets push email no problem. However, I utilize lots of sub folders in outlook and have mail redirected to these folders as a server-side rule. Messages to these subfolders does come in, however only mail that has been delivered to my main Inbox (becuase of it not matching a rule) triggers a "new mail" notifcation on the Xperia. Is there a hack to fix this? Is there another exchange email program that does alert you of new messages? It's obviously an Exchange issue, becuase I also have the iPhone 3G and have a personal hosted exhange email on it. It too only notifies you of emails in the inbox. Thanks. Guest M@rkC Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 ..... ..... Is there a hack to fix this? Is there another exchange email program that does alert you of new messages? ..... ..... Well, the only "solution" I know of is called WatchFlag, which watches for new emails arriving and then performs all sorts of alerts, colour coding, rules etc. on them. There's a 14-day trial version at http://www.watchflag.com (and they have a mobile site if you want to get to it from PIE B) - see http://m.watchflag.com). Hope that helps, Mark.

Guest mikelaaron Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Not the best solution, turns out. The software is "on the right track" but is a bit buggy. still looking for a good solution.
Guest Kiekeboe100 Posted January 25, 2009 Report Posted January 25, 2009 I'm also looking for an application. Watchflag is way too advanced for what it should be doing.
Guest Brad Blackmon Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 I'm also looking for an application. Watchflag is way too advanced for what it should be doing. I had this exact same problem. I looked and looked for a working solution, but couldn't find one. Being a windows Mobile developer myself, I decided to write an application to do exactly what I needed. I wrote a Today Screen plug in that will display all the unread messages in each account on your device. Advanced options allow you to also enumerate the folders that have unread messages. Also, each account can have independent, customizable alerts. http://www.blackmonlabs.com/ Anyway, I hope you find it useful!
