I am stuck at the beginning, cannot get the driver to install. I have done the "As the modem through USB" setting, but when I plug it in I cannot install the drivers. What drivers do I need?

I haven't gone ahead and actually done the flash yet, but I can get the UMDL_OMNIA_v2.3.exe program to detect the phone by following the instructions in the PDF: Disable Activesync's USB connection, launch the program, pick the img file, turn off the phone, plug in the USB cable, and turn the phone on. Mine turns onto a bootloader screen and from there I could flash the ROM if I wished.

Thanks, just got to the same point, however, I did have to hit "Detect" before I turned the phone back on.

Anyone with vista get the update to work? Am I going to have to install XP on another PC?

Edit: Got it with Vista!

In the activesync settings, there is a "Connections Settings" window that looks like an Vista version of the XP dialog Box. I got it from the Windows sync center menu.

I just had trouble finding the connection settings. Flashing now. If it has windows live built in, it may have some GPS function built into it.

also, there is a dialer touch delay of: Off, 2secs, 5secs or 10secs

Also, it seems louder for a reason, maybe I'm going crazy.
