Guest zeroinfinite Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 Wow. Snow? Are those old? its like 80 here in the states were Im at. <_< I REALLY want to go to europe, How bad is employment there? just curious. The snow images were taken on 5th Feb 2009. The really old one is the picture of the railway station at night which was taken on 29th Jan 2009 All of them were taken this year The weather today is 19 Degrees Celsius, which for me, is very hot. Regarding employment, the situation isn't that bad. There are those who have lost their jobs (obviously not a nice thing) but there are many new jobs being posted as well. It depends on your line of work. The private sector has been affected more than the public sector. Looking at it now, the situation is improving overall.
Guest Jophster Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 Some of these really are beautiful! Heres a couple of the phone box that is in my garden... (don't ask <_<) Let me know what you think. Taken like a point and shoot, all defaults/auto's.
Guest blibblabblob Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 (edited) I was really loving my phone but was a bit disappointed with the image quality when taking photos...the pics dont look too good on the omnia screen but when i seen some of the photos here , i thought i would go out and try another. I took these pics on macro setting in dull light outside my home on an old bench and was really surprised or the quality when uploaded to my PC..... Edited May 25, 2009 by blibblabblob
Guest spaghetina Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 (edited) ISO: 50 Focus: Auto Mode: Portrait White Balance: Auto Contrast: 3 Saturation: 2 Sharpness: 2 Anti-Shake: On What I don't understand is why, between the two photos, the points of focus seem to be so different. I took them from nearly the same angle, and all settings were the same from one to the next. Maybe it was the wind? Who knows. I know nothing about photography, so it could have just been too much caffeine this afternoon. These are straight from the camera to imageshack, so everything, including the size, is unchanged. I also don't understand why every time I take a macro shot, the focus of my subject is always totally blurry, while everything surrounding it is crystal clear. It makes no sense! I'm also wondering how everyone else's shots are so sharp, without being grainy. That coin photo above me is stunningly crisp. auto focus all settings +1 brigthness -2 fash off flash on This is totally off topic, but I'm dying to know where you or your friend got the Dunny wallpaper background on her iPhone! I searched for it online, and couldn't come up with anything. Any idea where it can be found? <_< Edited May 25, 2009 by spaghetina
Guest robpri Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 Taken using standard setting (macro mode)
Guest spaghetina Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 Taken using standard setting (macro mode) How is everyone getting such crisp macro shots? Whenever I take them, generally anything that's closest to the lens is still blurry, and anything farther away is clear. If I'm trying to take a shot of, say, 1 tomato within a bunch of tomato leaves, the tomato, which is in the center of the shot, and which is supposed to be the focus, will be blurry, and everything around it will be crystal clear. It doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever, but every macro shot I've ever taken with this camera has come out with the same results.

Spaghetina , be careful that you dont get too close to the object , as the depth of field in macro mode is very limited , rather move an inch further away as you can always crop the pic later in photoshop , thta way you will get a better result . Here is another pic taken a minute ago of my grubby calculator on my desk .
Guest robpri Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 As posted earlier in this thread , its very important to have the lens covering clean as it assists in the camera's auto focusing , as well as the clarity of the picture .
Guest ikediggety Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 some new ones from this past weekend. these are from an online slideshow so it's possible i may have done some light photoshopping.
Guest Tim-H Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 Just have to say the cameras on our phones are awesome. Was over at engadget and everyone is busting a nut over the picture the palm pre took and it looks like absolute crap compared to what ours can do.
