Guest zyc3 Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 i seem to notice that the i910 takes better pictures than the stock i900.... Well there the exact same hardware so I guess it comes down to the rom.
Guest MickyMax Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 Can we flash a i900 with a i910's rom ?

Guest Voltron8Myhat Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Perhaps this is the wrong place to post this, but is there any GOOD way to sync your phone photos to your computer? The device (Omnia) doesn't show up in Picasa, and since the Synced My Documents Folder only syncs with the system device storage (not "My Storage") you have to use ActiveSync to manually go into your phone and move images from My Storage to your computer. Am I missing something obvious?
Guest phantomguy1 Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 not for nothing but when I take pictures, mine always look washed out and I have to use imaging software to add color to it. I adjusted the sat but still looked bad.
Guest remmyhi Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 Try to select the appropriate white-balance settings. I've figured out that "Sunny" always brings the better colors in pictures.
Guest kav Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 is there a way to increase the resolutuion (size) of the panoramic pictures taked by the omnia, it is a very nice feature but the max allowed size of picture in panoramic it allows is 320x240 :(
Guest agoesatoeb Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 (edited) how to set panorama photo to take JUST 3/4 picture instead of 8? cos sometime we don't need to take that much area.. ***solved** just press camera button once again, and it will stop take pictures.. Guest oneguyks Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Hi, By default the anti-shake is off. I am assuming there is a good reason for that. Can anyone explain the drawbacks of turning ON the anti-shake? Also, I would like to see side by side pictures taken with Omnia vs a regular digital camera (same lighting, same shot etc.), or omnia vs other cam phones. That would make the thread more interesting.
Guest oneguyks Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 (edited) Omnia vs 8 MP real digital camera http://www.flickr.com/photos/36247880@N02/...8052528/detail/ Most of the pics by Omnia are far worse compared to the real camera. I am not sure if the Omnia focus was set to auto. In any case, I would like to see comparisons like these between the phone cameras vs real digital cameras. or phone cameras vs phone cameras (i.e. N96 vs N95 vs N82 vs Innov8 vs Omnia etc). Guest DeepBlueEditor Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 I thought I did, but now that I double checked my settings, I noticed it was indeed off. For the night shot, I tried a couple shots auto mode and a couple night, and couldn't get rid of the blur coming out of the windows. Maybe next time, I'll give the fireworks mode a shot and see what happens. Well, that and try again with anti-shake ON! B) Don't forget to keep the front of the lens clean. I have noticed that causes way more blur than anything else. For the Noobs out there, play with the settings. indoors I often have to go to "sports" mode to get a higher shutter speed to keep actions from blurring in the weaker light. Low light levels in these sorts of cameras cause the electronic shutter speed to slow way down. If the shutter is open for longer than 1/30 in a normal camera you'll have issues keeping it from blurring. Not sure what the min/max values are for a camera like this one but it won't matter because they aren't giving us any sort of readout that I can see on shutter speed or aperature anyway. Still, in bright light with a clean lens, does really well. Good shots here everyone. Anyone notice or play with the video editor yet? Sort of fun. Would be even better if you could use it to butt clips together like a real editor. Still, you can put music under and titles over. Cool stuff. Sean
Guest DeepBlueEditor Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 Anyone here tried any of the Photoshop Mobile camera cabs? I tried the HTC Touch and while the applications seems to be working just fine - I can sign in, view my online pics, etc, the app won't find my photos on the phone in any directories. I know they are supposed to be making different versions in beta for different phones but they are really slow over there, and the forums have like 4 postings in them, one of them mine asking for help for the Omnia. Maybe if you guys all head over there and post that you would like support for our phone they might hurry it up a little. After all, they are missing out on us with out 5 Mp cameras and all. Sean
Guest hellfire8888 Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 Images above all taken using samsung omnia after the firmwarea update to DZia5 definitely got improve camera function ..
Guest bobobird Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 Picasa, photoshop mobile etc, there is always good old photobucket. To update, just send an email with the photos you want to send as attachements. Of course online sync would be great. http://www.clickova.com/Gamma/ Allows syncing contacts etc + photos.
Guest oneguyks Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 Omnia vs 8 MP real digital camera http://www.flickr.com/photos/36247880@N02/...8052528/detail/ Most of the pics by Omnia are far worse compared to the real camera. Omnia can take decent pictures only if there is (1) Good Lighting (2) No digital zoom is used. It's better to get closer than use digital zoom. If one of these is off, especially if the lighting is bad, the quality deteriorates real quick. In the above example with indoor pictures and poor lighting, phone cameras are nowhere close to real digital cameras. The following pictures were taken with the latest January 2009 ROM (indoors but good enough lighting). [
Guest Sky Masters Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 This phone can take PANORAMIC PHOTOS!!! How COOL is that!!
