Yeah, I figured it was a pretty mild polish. I've used polished on cars before (and just about 2 weeks ago I polished some scratches out of a used chrome-cladded replacement wheel for my car. It's basically got a plastic over over chrome) so I have buffed/polished stuff before. This scratch is right on the line of what I would expect it to handle.

I'm hoping worst case I can smooth it out a decent amount and maybe it won't be visible once I put the protective cover on. Like I said, if it doesn't work I'll just have to replace the screen. I rip apart all of my other electronics, why not this phone :D

Well, I ordered myself a screen protector from ebay and a tube of the Displex. Sorry somedude, I know you already yelled at me for asking if anyone used it and told me it doesn't work, but I've gotta see for myself. For a few bucks its worth trying in my eyes. Seems some other people have had good results with it so we'll see what happens.

I've got a few minor scrapes from normal wear and tear that I expect will go away. The main scratch I somehow got is almost a 1/2 inch right in the dead center of the screen. I hate it. Its deep enough that I can feel it with my nail, but not like a HUGE gouge. I'm hoping that with enough patience and effort I can smooth it out pretty well, then cover the thing with the protector.

Worst case I'll order a new digitizer from Ebay for like $30. Either way, I'm getting rid of these scratches one way or another! I'll try and snap a few pictures of before and after if I actually make any progress with this stuff.

lol, hey its your money. Dont say i didnt warn you. You were probably better off playing the lotto with that money, because that displex crap just plain doesnt work.
