Hi I am new here, I tried to flash using USDL_GrandPrix_v1.6.4_XP.exe but never been able to detect the phone. I did uncheck the allow USB connection & also kill activesync process but after connect the cable & on the phone, it just go directly to normal function phone.

What I did wrong? please help. I want to try out Omnia without junks.

Try to soft reset your phone after the Detect button is pressed and phone is connected by the cable.

But before doing anything please make sure that all prerequisites are done - modem driver installed etc...

Just an idea for the users of Samsung Theme 2 with this ROM: as tclock.exe is missing from the ROM, you can configure something else to use when "clicking" on the clock in the middle, for example I made a copy of ControlPanel.exe renaming it to tclock.exe, so settings are opened instead of the error message...

I think it's more ideal to let the user decide what to run. I usually rename FavoriteSettings.exe to tclock.exe. If you have this renaming done in the ROM, then it would be harder later to do this.

And are you using XP or Vista? If under XP you may alternatively try to create an EXE Updater using i900_eXecutor (search for it in the forums). It's usually easier and safer to use that.

The download includes all the files and a guide to flash your Omnia using GrandPrix 1.6.4. I can't pack it into an .exe file, kitchen seems to be unable to do it. Sorry.

If you intend to use Widgets, install Flash Lite 2.1, otherwise install 3.1 to have better browsing experience with Opera.

Online Widgets cab will be posted here when ready, meanwhile you can test these new widgets using the other files available in this forum.

"YouTube friendly" Opera is available here (9.5 b2808).

I am from Brazil (Rio de Janeiro) and I used "i900_eXecutor" to make a .exe file and I it worked with no problem under winxp 32 bits for I am still afraid to use grand prix thats why I prefer .exe wich much better and safe.

Samsung Clock is NOT working OK with the DXHL2 a rom. I think something about alarm is missing in the startup folder or the HKLM\init settings. Lufeig can you check it please. This is my only problem with your almost perfect rom.Thanks

EDIT: I think the missing files are Alarmwatcher from Windows and Alarmwatcher.lnk from Windows/StartUp

you can edit the file SecCPLMain.cpl to remove this icon

LuFeIg i am using your Version DXHL2, LFI04 revision "a" (Dec-26-2008) rom and it is far the best, but I have a little problem . I installed Samsung clock you provided at the first page and it doesn't ring the alarms. If you have any suggestion. PS. I havent installed flashlite2.1 nor 3.5..

But I can't fix my youtube problem, it works till it starts to stream the videos and then I get error message in Internet Explorer or Opera or even youtube I'm using also Core Player so it has built in youtube player and but it doesn't work like mediaplayer same.

Any suggestions would be appreciated I don't know what I'm missing.

My Rom version LFI03c didn't update to the new one first like to fix my youtube problem.

youtube works fine here.

you must set opera up in advanced configs, so it identifies your device as a desktop computer, otherwise when you access youtube.com you are redirected to m.youtube.com

edit: try to install opera 9.5 build 2808 and set up configs as explained above. download link on first page.

Just to confirm, this new ROM from Lufeig will play YouTube video from YouTube site, as long as you have flash 3.1, Opera, it should be okay.

I use my own verison of same ROM, with same Opera and flash 3.1 and YouTuve works great (don't use it tho, just to test it out).

Download the file. Lufeig has a word file with detailed instructions.

the online widgets worked 100% straight for me here, so i can't duplicate the errors to know what's happening, sorry.

Instead of using the updater supplied with Lufeig great ROM; use another tool to create your own .exe updater file. Bascially it merges the four parts of a ROM into an updater for you. I use it all the time when i am cooking or in instances like this where the ROM comes in parts. It's simple...

use i900_EXEcutor..

• Open i900EXEcutor, and select the EXE tab:
  
• Click on the browse icons to navigate to where your ROM parts are stored (PDA.BIN; PHONE.BIN; EBOOT.nb0; customer.csc)
  
• Click GO, and you are away.
  
• You should end up with an exe updater file, in the same directory as the folder of parts were
