Instead of using the updater supplied with Lufeig great ROM; use another tool to create your own .exe updater file. Bascially it merges the four parts of a ROM into an updater for you. I use it all the time when i am cooking or in instances like this where the ROM comes in parts. It's simple...

use i900_EXEcutor..

• Open i900EXEcutor, and select the EXE tab:
  
• Click on the browse icons to navigate to where your ROM parts are stored (PDA.BIN; PHONE.BIN; EBOOT.nb0; customer.csc)
  
• Click GO, and you are away.
  
• You should end up with an exe updater file, in the same directory as the folder of parts were

i tried with an hex editor, but i screwed 3 links in the control panel...

Hi can someone please help me i have official rom MSHJ1 unbranded what do i need to do to install this great rom please can someone guide me from step to step i have created a exe file from the rom using 1900 EXECUTOR above and its ready to use problem is that i want to know do i need to do anything else as my current firmware is MSHJ1 OFFICIAL can i just flash straight over this with the self created exe file i just created with executor? and also the executor is for xp only i have vista how can i make the executor make a vista exe instead of the xp one or do i just need to use xp to flash hope someone here can help me in thease two matters as i am ready to flash just waiting for the green light as if it safe to do so thanks to all that will help.pj

I installed current you new version and i have problem with all programs that use internet connection

in fact, it seems to be unexisting or deactivate.i have no pop up about connection when i launch application.

i'd suggest you to go to OPERATOR SETTINGS in SETTINGS MENU, select any other operator, tap ok, and then enter your 3g, mms, wap, etc, settings manually.

i always have to do it manually because there's a bug since the first firmware release that reboots the device if i choose BRAZIL, TIM, and put a TIM sim chip.

So , how can I uninstall Samsung Widgets ? It doesn't appear in the application manager .

You cannot flash custom ROMs with Vista, unless you know what you are doing. Judging from your post you do not, so i would recommend either leaving this updating thing alone or find an XP machine.

Also, read plenty of stuff about flashing and doing it the right way.

It here on htis forum, it's on the net. Google is yours, mine, everyones friend.

1. I can't seems to playback any video recorded.

2. I can't use video call at all, even after using the registry edit.

3. WMP can't open MP4 formats.

4. There is a shortcut called Comm Manager under programs which I cannot open.

as long as i know, these issues are related to touchflo (m2d); that's why i asked you about it.

i've read about it, but i don't use it, so i don't know if simply uninstalling m2d will sort it. maybe you'll need a hard reset.

don't forget that if you hard reset it, you'll have to enable samsung dialer again and soft reset your device!

When it's done, install or try whatever issue you had before. I can almost promise you it will have gone, if not, try reflashing the ROM, with a hard reset after. Try your problems again, should of gone (hopefully).

The issues mentioned, are not issues reported by everyone, including myslef or Lufeig or many others. They could be one off's, it happens. But generally the ROMs people release work how they should. It's the minor (small) issues like the alarm clock that will affect most custom ROMs, as chefs remove stuff and they may be indirectly lonked to other programs.

I am using same ROM, and i have no issues with payback with recorded stuff, WMP, etc etc. And i use M2D too. Audio Manager works, WiFi works, the COMM manager works (COMM manager replaces the Samsung one)

It all depends on what people install after flashing their phones. If an app doesn't work, it's not usualy down to the ROM, but more the app itself is not designed for use with Omnia??

no big changes here... here's what's new:

- Single .exe updater is back for safer and easier ROM update

- Removed more useless files

- Optimized a few .exe and image files

- "Cosmetic" changes in startup and shutdown .gifs and .wavs

- 160MB+ Free Storage Space

gotta learn a few more tricks to provide more free storage space tho. space is available, i just don't know how to release it to storage.

Hmm well I didn't hard reset the phone after installation. Anyway could you give me a detailed guide on installing M2D on this rom? It would be better if you include the link to M2D rom download as I am using the one on this forum. Anyway, thanks for helping out, and nice work on new release lufeig!
