i was absent since lunch, i had a party with some friends and arrived home only now.

@smsswiss: by fake, i mean: disassemble XIP and look at its modules' build. you may use and hex editor. then get SYS folder files and look at them too. analyze their build numbers and you will see that a 'funny' person just hex edited the files (more than once to confuse people) and provided them to bbs.xbeta.cn. sincerely i didn't do the research on the files myself, but i believe in the affirmatives given by experienced people at xda developers stating it is fake. i read in xda "it's not easy to tell if a build is genuine, but it's easy to tell if it's fake". makes sense. and there are many fake builds out there, this is not the first one and won't be the last. actually i started to port 21109 but gave up on it when i read these comments. you don't have to believe. if you're interested, i'd suggest you to do your own research, but until someone comes with real proofs there it is real, i'd rather use files that are supposed to be genuine than others that are supposed to be fake.

i am really sorry about sms. didn't have the opportunity to test it. i tested GPS, camera, movies, music, acc sensor, etc. i'll investigate it and try to bring a fix for you.

so i went to this party and left the computer on, uploading revision C into rapidshare, so i could post the link when i got back. bad surprise is that the connection failed so a rapidshare download link is currently unavailable.

after reading the new posts, i thought a little and came into a conclusion: i asked to not mirror the files so i could know how many people were downloading it. i decided to share my cooked roms to help people, so i wanted to have an idea of how many they were. but if keeping files only at mediafire will not help others, i think the statistic is much less important than the possibility of more people being able to download the file. i'm sorry if my "please do not mirror" cause any kind of misunderstanding. if anybody wants to mirror it willing to make the files reachable to more people, feel free to do it. no need for statistics, nothing. if it's for the better, then do it.

and last, no rom is 100% bugs free. unfortunately, mine aren't either. if you download my cooked roms thinking they're 100% safe, then i would suggest you to download from samsung official site, or from a more experienced cooker. if you download it, all i ask is if you find a bug in it, please post it here. i won't promise it will be fixed, but i'll try to. some other bugs may not be fixed, or will only in next release. i.e., divx registration icon is still present since my first release. i would have to learn how to edit .cpl files, but i don't feel comfortable to learn it now.

one more thing, if not posting roms that have xip & sys ported will bring less trouble for you, it's ok for me. i can post only clean roms with stock xip & sys, no problems!

but i hope to be able to acquire more experience & knowledge in xip & sys porting, so the next released roms can be better. by the way, i just saw another DXHL2 ce os 20954 on pdaviet. i did not test it, i don't know who cooked it, but it is an alternative.

sorry for any inconvenience caused by the files posted here, and sorry for my long post and english errors... it's not my native language and i'm kind of drunk! :rolleyes:

chinese friends, as told many times before, i'm sorry but i can't upload to rapidshare. i don't know why but my 128kbps upload speed, which is already slow, drops even more in rapidshare and then connection fails.

i removed my request to not mirror the files posted here, so if someone could upload it and post the download link here, it would be helpful.

OK, it was removed. Pls. add 13 to statistics. Sorry if it caused a big trouble, I just wanted to help those guys having no access to Mediafire. Indeed I missed the author's request in the first post. I read it to the end a couple of weeks ago, since then only reading updates. :rolleyes:

I understand the statistics point of view, that's why I offered sharing these data in my original post. However, it's a bit strange to talk about copying and permission here, modifying and mirroring Samsung's property... Of course the good will of doing no harm is the same. :)

mickymax, you ROCK!!! thanks a lot!!! previously to your post, i had swapped some baseapps and phone modules, but without success.

after reading your suggestion, i googled it a bit a i thought "that must be it!", so i reversed all baseapps and phone modules i had changed, then swapped htmlnote.dll

so sms bug seems to be fixed, thanks to everybody involved in this process since the beginning!

i'm going after mouse pointer fix now...

will be a cap file for users?

erdoke and everybody, i'm sorry for the misunderstanding caused by me initial request to not mirror my files. i know you mirrored it with good will, and thanks for those who supported that initial request.

sztupy, thanks a lot for hosting my file and providing the download link! and i also appreciate your directions on how to remove the divx icon. i'll take a closer look at it later, now i'm focusing in the "finger mouse" fix.

i hope that more people who wants to download these files will be able to do it.

IMHO, its the best task manager there is other than Quick Menu, which has too small a font and does not have XP-like display of opened programs. If you want a cascading start menu, you can try fdc Start Menu which gives you an option of either a small font or a huge (not big! :rolleyes: ) font!

I remember a Taskmanager that was only a little icon next to the speaker in teh taskbar. it had a dropdown like menu...

which one is that i liked this the most?

this bug with the mouse cursor, or finger pointer, is old.

reading about other xip & sys ported to omnia, i've seen the same issue (i.e., phamquang releases).

anyway i'll keep searching for a solution...

please i like your clean rom but i cant fully install it. i tried it but i still have an error have a look

this only happens with your rom. after i got stuck i updated DZHK3 from samsung site no problem happened. i also tried jvhk1 same no problem but then i dont like bloatware so i tried LFI04c again same problem as u can see in the picture. after that it boots normally and everything is working and i like the lightweight rom. i am sure i have samsung drivers installed. i am not sure why this happens anyway i am downloading b version now and see if it causes the same problem

can you please tell me what i did wrong or what to do.

Can't get internet to work..

I have newest C version.

So after installing this rom i was not able to get internet working [wifi and gprs]. Wifi was connected to router but no WWW or other services.

Somebody told that I need to restore comm manager registry. I did it. Now I have wifi. YEAH. But GPRS/EDGE/HSDPA is still not working. The same problem GPRS is connected but no Internet.

Somebody in this topic told that I need to change operator settings to other network then to my network. This is still not working.

This rom kicks ass, it shows great performance of omnia. 160mb of storage is awesome. But I dont have gprs connection,..

Any solutions?

it works 100% of the times with me.

i change the operator, then i change it back, erase everything and enter my operator settings manually.

Hey murymury, you have to make sure that your firewall as well as antivirus are stopped temporarily while flashing just in case. sometimes they could prevent the necessary ports from being opened. If the problem still exist after trying, keep trying for a couple of times, sometimes it works.

i dont have a firewall nor an enabled antivirus. i repeat this only happens with these releases official rom have no problem.

WIFI Network is detected by the wireless manager but doesn't seem to work (with Fring i obtain "no connection", with Spb Traveler no updates)

Opera doesn't connect - I have Settings>Connections>Select Network : nothing and if i select Automatically detect settings : Nothing appends too ??

Fingermouse : If i choose "Mouse" in the settings the arrow crash on the top-menu of all softs.

???

finger mouse does not work with ported xip & sys. sorry, i'm looking for a solution, but it seems that other chefs have the same issue with omnia when porting xip & sys from another device, and they haven't sorted it either.

opera issue: solution already posted many times in this and other threads. please look 3 posts above yours.

i have 2 partitions in my computer. i had to create the second one because of the same problem, so i installed fresh new winxp and drivers and everything works good. you should also try other chefs' cooked roms, if they user i900Executor to pack the rom, you'll probably have the same problem, so please don't say "this only happens with your rom". i know that installing a second partition isn't fun, i didn't like to do it either, but i had to try it and fortunately it sorted things out.

@sector: thanks for the link, but i'll skip ie6 for now. there's no official version of ie6 yet, and the reviews i have read say that it's still too buggy and slow to be worth trying. it's good to try and know it, but you should not consider it seriously by now. i've seen ie6 packages ready to be cooked, they're told to be working, but i haven't tested them myself.

Did you check your ROM with the new XIP/SYS? I'm just trying to port the new SYS myself, and while almost nothing works, and everything is in chinese I do have IE6, because afaik WM6.1.4 and later have IE6 installed, so your "d" ROM should have it too.

One more question: where did you get 0409 (english) mui files for the sys? or are they ported from the old omnia sys?

if one downloads my rom and want to have a taste of ie6 mobile, there are ie6 .cabs available, but i'm pretty sure 99% of those who install it, will uninstall it a few moments later.

that's why i removed it.

I cooked the hermes's xip/sys as-is, and it did contain functions like zoom out and zoom in and switching between mobile and desktop IE, which I think is not present in older IE versions. The new sys also contains microsoft's version of flashlite 3.1. Btw, browsingie only contains some dll's (with mshtml.dll of course), the iexplorer is still in the browsing package. BTW my phone is now ultra-unstable, but still IE6 is fast and stable on it :rolleyes:

If you want to you might get newer 0409 sys files from the official windows 6.1.4 emulator image, which has a version of 20757.1.4.0. It also has later 400x240 packages too (for MediaOS and Base). I uploaded them here: http://sztupy.hu/20757_0409files.zip

Or you might want to consider using the sys from this emulator. It's not the latest, but it's more recent than the stock omnia wince, and it's 240x400 + 0409.

okay, I've hard reseted my omnia then did what you told me. It works now.. ;-)
