Guest rgarita Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 This is great news! Ill never listen to regular radio again! Especially since my omnia connects to my car radio! Hi, how do you connect the phone to the car? cable or bluetooth? what device do you use? thanks
Guest SARS151 Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 For those of you who got Pandora to work on your Omnia, is there a trick to doing so? I have tried installing Pandora CAB from various sources, including from this thread, but seem to get the same results. I was able to get around the keyboard issue and got logged in to my Pandora account, chose a channel, but it just sits at the Pandora logo with "Connecting...". I do get the two C++ errors at startup. I've also tried installing .NET Compact Framework 3.5 and verified that Windows Mobile is using 3.5 now. That doesn't seem to help either. I have a Verizon Omnia, with not much customization. Any ideas/help would be appreciated. Thanks, Vishnu I have the same problem. I also have a Verizon i910...is this another crappy Verizon trick?
Guest nautec Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 Seems to work fine for me. Here is my configuration Microsoft Compact .NET 3.5 US Verizon i910 I did a bunch of those registry hacks but that shouldn't affect running Pandora. So I am one user who got it working on the first try.

I had .NET 3.5 installed prior to this installation and it's sitting here next to me playing away! Edited February 6, 2009 by jwhipple
Guest TheDrizzle Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 I have the same problem. I also have a Verizon i910...is this another crappy Verizon trick? I have the Verizon i910, and it works for me (minus the issue I reported a few posts up). I didn't have to do anything fancy, it installed from the CAB on this thread. Maybe it has to do with the path? I installed to my 4gb storage card. Thanks, -Chris

Thanks, -Chris I installed mine on "My Storage" , which is where I put everything that I have added.
Guest Devin C Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 Pandora works perfectly for me on my i910. The only issue is that the splash screen has the words skewed over tot he righthand side so that it reads PANDOR. Other than that it works fine. Devin
Guest aleis Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 been working fine for me for months. us verizon i910
Guest Reubellion Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 I have the i910 and i input my log in information and says that my username or my password is incorrect, which i know i not the case. Has this happened to anyone?
Guest jimmyinmd Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 Update! I could never get past the C++ error when loading Pandora. This update has fixed it for me. It's in this thread: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=48458&page=47 Enjoy!
Guest theshaz Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 The version I got works fine on my i910. The only problem I have....it keeps my screen active. When a song is playing and I hit the pwr button to close the screen to save battery.....as soon as the current song finishes, the screen goes back active....Now in the car, going the my Motorola T505's or home plugged into AC, it's not much of a bother. But if you use this without a pwr supply your battery is dead in no time. Any workaround on this? I love Pandora - when I am home I have it crankin on my desktop often.....I have my station pretty tweaked out the way I like it and love the ability to take it mobile with me on the Omnia. I have a 1st gen Jabara BT stereo headset(BT620), they work, but about the get the BT8010 and then really plan on using the Omnia playing Pandora pretty much everywhere I go.

I was actually waiting for the battery to drain out, but I got tired of waiting...
Guest rockehill Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 I downloaded both the 1.1.4 cab and the 1.1.10 cab for my omnia i910. The 1.1.10 cab did not show the keyboard and was unusable. I uninstalled it and loaded the 1.1.4 cab, got the keyboard, and it works fine. Someone also had problems with password recognition. The same thing happended to me so I closed out the cellular broadband access and opened the WIFI access. Under the WIFI, it accepted my username and password. After that is has not asked me to log in again, either under the WIFI or the cellular broadband access. While on a walk in the woods, the cellular signal got low and Pandora just kept trying to find a signal and stayed that way later even after I had a decent signal. I did a soft reset and now everything is fine. Bottom line, for me the 1.1.4 version worked but the newer 1.1.10 did not.
Guest BamDastard Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 This works great! anyone having problems with bluetooth or keyboard, get the cab instead of the zip.
Guest HHundyy Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 anyone know how to make the settings allow me to listen to this through the speakers, not headphones? thanks.
Guest DeepBlueEditor Posted March 27, 2009 Report Posted March 27, 2009 Like some others here, I DLd the cab file listed here, loaded it up on my basically unmodded i910 and it just worked the first time. The only issues I saw were, the formatting isn't perfect as others have noted in that most of the screen area was blank and the image for the currently playing song never updated. I had no issues at all entering my info and establishing a link and playing. I had the tiny pause, skip ahead and thumbs up/down displayed but I don't think the thumbs up/down were working. I was able to bookmark a favorite song and so on. I give it a "mostly working" thumbs up here. I believe the cab posted was the 1.x.4 version? If someone would post the latest I will try that one too. I like Pandora but why do they make us log in to get the danged cab files with our devices? Don't they know we like to play? S
Guest NewKlNGjames Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 I have the verizon i910. when I first installed 1.1.4 it worked great. then I had to do a hard reset and since then it does not work. I get the two c+ errors. If i hit retry on both of them they go away but it cannot find my station. The weird thing is that even though I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, it still tries to go to my last station that I was on.... any ideas would be greatly appreciated. thanks,

Guest squishlax Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 just a note..couldnt get 1.1.10 to work because the sign in screen didnt show keyboard or input boxes, so i uninstalled and put 1.1.4 on and used that to sign in .. then i ran the 1.1.10 cab again and it remembered my sign in info so i didnt have to bother with using the keyboard and it seems to work ok so far...
