Here it is people!

UPDATE - I re-dumped the whole thing according to how Jeanne8fr said (THANKS JEANNE!). Now we have the 4 separate partition dumps (aka eboot.nb0, pda.bin, phone.bin and customer.csc I guess!), you can get them here:

http://rapidshare.com/files/176803717/i900L_PTBR_SPLIT.zip

Old links:

http://rapidshare.com/files/174745377/i900L_PTBR.rar

For those who were having problems with the .rar version:

http://rapidshare.com/files/175000906/i900L.zip

Version: i900LUTHJ3/UTHJ3 from brazilian carrier Claro (cellphone is network locked, but I guess it shouldn't matter?)

Please ROM cookers, give it a look and see if we can use it to unlock all 3G frequencies on the i900 Omnias. Also, i'd like to know in case you guys do:

1- Can regular i900 ROM's be flashed to the i900L based on this ROM info?

2- How can this .img file be converted to the flashable .exe format? Any tutorial links?

Also, as I mentioned on the i900 3G USA thread, I spent U$ 599,00 to buy this phone so we could grab the L ROM, dissect it and hopefully unlock triband 3G on regular i900 Omnias. For that, I had to bleed dry my savings account, so if you guys got some spare change to help refill my savings account, it will be more than welcome

Hope this effort help everyone here!

Cheers!

Thanks Turbo!

Also, I'd like to point that I dumped it following the itsutils instructions on a XP machine, so if i screwed up anywhere and any part of the ROM is missing, point me in the right direction and I will re-dump it np. I hope its 100% ok thou ;-)

I´m folowing this tutorial to flash this IMG to my i900..

But i have two problems..

1- Winrar say " authenticity information is not the same as CRC checksums "

2- when i load the IMG in the Mirage , this say:

Analyzing the Combined Image...Error during opening image files!

-Platform not matched!

:The chosen platform and image do not match!

Pdt:

sorry for my bad english

I have the same problem with GrandPrix. No clue on how to turn this .img file on a flashable file :)

Maybe a chef can point us in the right direction

On the Winrar problem, its looking fine here. I used Winrar 3.80 to pack it, and its extracting fine here. Anyone else having problems?

congratulations!!!! very well done!!!

@lionheartk:

you live in brazil, man?!! it's nice to see somebody from brazil here!!!

btw, my i900 from singapore is unlocked. i used it with VIVO (not anymore) and now with TIM simcards. i get 3G icon with both of them.

is this supposed to happen?

EDIT: according to secany, i900L and i900 are NOT cross-flashable, so if you have a i900 you should not flash it using this file!

EDIT 2: the file i downloaded here is corrupted (clicked the TEST button in winrar and i got this message), just like turb0wned. maybe there were problems during upload. could you please upload it again?

On HTC devices you needed to hex edit certain files to get them to work on other devices with the same or similar chipsets.

There are many experts at cross flashing on PPC geeks and XDA developers.

One other thing: There are various kitchens (I900tool) and versions of grandprix floating around. They are not all compatible.

For example, the I900tool posted on this site cannot deal with the HL1 Omnia ROM.

Does anyone have a RAW dump of I900DXHJ3? I can only find finished .exe's.

I would like to do a binary diff.

Thanks.

After a lot of comparisons and some trials and tests, it looks like the .img file might be a little too short.

This was all using the i900tool kitchen posted on this site.

I added about half a meg of 0xff's at the end of it (continuing after where the ending left off to more than where the size of the imgfs.bin of the files says that it was located.

Then using osnbtool you can extract the XIP and the Imgfs.bin

i.e

osnbtool i900l.img 0 out0.bin

osnbtool i900l.img 1 xip.bin

osnbtool i900l.img 2 imgfs.bin

using imgfstodump on the imgfs.bin you get everything that is typically in the windows directory.

using dump on the xip.bin you get the xip.

I am not sure where to go from there.

It may be that we just need to re-pack it using the kitchen and then run grandprix on it. (assuming that the kitchen itself imprints the platform signature)

I'll try some more tomorrow.

Ok i checked and i have only network lock enabled. Will try to unlock it.

I downloaded the file here from rapidshare and extracted, no problems. Also clicked test, no problems, maybe its something to do with the newest version im using? 3.80?

As of it being too short, i dunno what happened, i followed the instructions. My log:

Nope, it seems I need the subsidy code and my carrier will only give it 7 days after I get the phone upon request. But I dont think this affects the ROM since the lock code should be somewhere else on the phone? Cause it stays locked or unlocked regardless of the rom you flash in my experience (which is not much but still ).

Mine is also an unlocked phone from singapore but i dont get 3G with AT&T'S simcard.... If your getting it with just a simcard this just proves that our phone is capable some more. And also there is a post from someone that confirmed that samsung said it is possible.

@lufeig cool man, legal ter um conterraneo no forum, eu precisava de umas aulas pra cozinhar meu rom tb hehe.

And yours is displaying the 3G icon because TIM and VIVO work on the 2100mhz WCDMA frequency. Claro needs 850mhz.

Awww, dang, i guess is too late for me. I ripped this ROM just now and was hoping to release it xD. Well, nvm, at least i can hope for the new frequencies now :)

BTW, i did the rip trough the Autorun method, got a dump.bin file with 128MB, would it be of any help?

EDIT: Ok, didn't knew the ROMs got so small when archived, so i uploaded my RIP anyway, here's the

link

EDIT2: Nevermind, seems the autorun i got produced a junky file, nothing but corrupted data :( . At least lionheartk did this the right way
