Guys i get this error when im trying BuildRom with HL2.

With HK3 i have no problem...

It seems you don't have .NET3.5 installed on your computer? Or was it something else? :)

It was smth else . I have deleted the \ROM from original RomKitchen zip file which contains some data. Thought it was the extracted ROM :). Just to have it in mind in later use hehe

i found the problem task... it is the keyboard... there are some problems with this task...

The .net3.5 tasks removes .net2 because if it does not then there will be a file collision which BuildOS would detect. Usually you won't need the 2.0 files, because 3.5 has them integrated, but I've heard rumours that sometimes the opposite is true.

About the widgets: strange... couldn't find anything that should be related to the widgets (maybe except some files from PanelFS????)... so I think this should be a CSCConfig.xml error. I'm going to try out as soon as I get an XP machine (should be in two days... stupid relatives that don't have computers at home  )... BTW could you send me a filelist of the online widgets folder? And could you check whether those files are in the Windows directory in your phone? Maybe they're there, but the installation forgot to "install" them.

Is it ok to upload the onlinewidgets folder itself? There are several folders containing files which I'm not sure how to get a file list from. And it looks like some widget files are in the windows directory preceded by a _ before the file name and some are hidden.

I am just wondering how to adapt this marvelous tools to the Italian needs. More precisely: if I take and cook an English rom, may I "italianize" it by just replacing the corresponding mui files? Of course i have also to change after cooking the settings to adapt it to work with the Italian providers.

It could be an interesting option, in the future, to write a method do do it for different languages.

I'm almost sure this is caused by the Remove Panel FS task. It does not clear CSCConfig.xml properly - it leaves a bunch of "PlumSIP6" entries in the file.

Try to flash your rom without removing PanelFS or Remove Panel FS+edit CSCConfig.xml manually removing all entries containing "PlumSIP6". Or download the file I have attached here. This CSCConfig.xml is cleaned of all "PlumSIP6" entries. Put this into your customer_csc replacing yours (after running the removal task), rebuild csc, and reflash.

Edit: Oops, I forgot to add the attachment. :)

Anyone knows which task removes icons for phonebook and opera browser at samsung today 1?

I removed many tasks but not samsung today 1 and opera. After flashing my cooked rom the icons for phonebook and internet browser where gone and there was only empty space.

Any solutions to copy this icons back and make a new shortcut with?

I used the German BHHL2 rom.

This apps is really nice. Me as a total noob can now cook my own ROM.

The only problem i found so far is that i cannot connect to internet using the cooked ROM.

Need to restore comm manager registry key from a known good ROM to solve this.

I have this same problem for PDAViet Roms too.

Other than that, one big feature request. Can you include a task to install M2D? Haha i know this is going to be a little too intensive, but it is a great feature to have. :-)

Thanks for your effort to make this apps, it is really good!

Which tasks did you remove on which ROM? Internet works for me, and I removed almost everything (HL2). M2D is on the way, but it's a huge process, and tracking down the registry changes of each cab is a time-consuming thing. And I still don't have access to an XP machine to try things out (and don't want to brick my phone on vista, when I can only access the internet using my phone  )

Tried it now. Icons gone again.

Everything else is ok. I try to install SamsungToday2. Maybe that will help. Shortcut to Opera is still missing.

EDIT:

The 8GB disk is now called "my storage". Before customation it was called "interner speicher" (german translation). Maybe this could be the reason?

EDIT2: Installed Opera beta 9.5 again. Now the Browser Icon is on Today1!

But still missing Phonebook Icon in the middle. Maybe it's renamed by one task so that shortcut was removed?

EDIT3: looks like this SamsungToday1.jpg

EDIT4: YEAH. Solved my problem. I made a new shortcut to "windows\seccontact.exe" (it is the phonebook) and put it to "windows\startmenü\programme". Than i configured samsungtoday1 and put the link in there.

Now all my icons work!

I've fixed/modified some tasks:

- Remove Samsung Keyboard now works on both ROMs. (There was a registry entry that set Samsung Keyoard as default SIP. This is why it didn't work. Added a line to remove.)

- Remove Opera: files starting with underscore ("_") are not part of Opera but part of Samsung Widgets. I moved them to Remove Widgets task. From this point there's no need for separate HK3 and HL2 removal task, 'cause "ar.lng" and "nb.lng" is in, and should be removed from HK3.

- Remove Widgets: Moved underscore entries from Remove Opera task here, and added several other underscore files. Added lines to remove "OnlineWidget" entries from initff.

- Remove Music and Ringtones: Added an etry to *.rgu to modify ControlPanel/Sounds/Ringtones to only keep those few mp3's that still in there. (Without this favorite settings and system sound controlpanel applet show plentry of invalid entries.) Added lines to remove "Directory("\My Documents\My Music")" entries from initff.

- Remove Google Maps: added lines to remove Google Maps link from initff.

- Remove Transcriber: just the same: added lines to remove Transcriber link from initff.
