Guest X-Ray A4T Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 I use Garmin (rebranded as Sumsung Navigator) which comes bundled with the Omina in South Africa with free map updates for life (mine or the phone I'm not sure)
Guest Pete2 Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 I use CoPilot Live 7 with maps for the UK & Ireland. It's simply the best navigation software for smartphones and PPCs. Whats the display like - does it fit the screen correctly?
Guest JediKnightCZ Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 I am using the bundled Route 66 (Samsung Mobile Navigator), since it has rather accurate maps (which is kinda needed when I drive throuch Czech countryside). Also I paid for the cameras - etter to give 10 dollars to the software creator now than to give hundreds to police later. :)
Guest rnoia Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 I use Pharos Ostia with my Verizon i910 via Pharos' bluetooth receiver (which is the Microsoft Street's and Maps receiver). I've used it for years, back to my i700, and i730. The maps are huge [not vector based], but they are free to download. the software has worked well with limited memory. and works with the WQVGA. -rog
Guest ehsad Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 Garmin and the 2009 Australia maps. Quite impressed with it actually!
Guest micrographics Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 I use Route66 - rebranded as Samsung Navigator with India map which came bundled with my omnia.
Guest Junoman Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 Whats wrong with it? TTS (Voices) wont work!!
Guest smoothcrooner Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 Whats the display like - does it fit the screen correctly? Hi Pete, Yes, it does fit the screen correctly. I've tried Garmin and iGo8, but CoPilot wipes the floor off the lot.
Guest gam3ra Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 I use iGO8 and Garmin In my country there is no choice
Guest simma Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 Hey all, I use Tomtom 7.450 (with AUS maps) with Port Splitter. Love it! Although I had to use PortSplitter to get it working.
Guest guardm Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 I use CoPilot Live 7 with maps for the UK & Ireland. It's simply the best navigation software for smartphones and PPCs. I agree CoPilot 7 is the best I have used on a mobile device.
Guest jonboyuk Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 I also use CoPilot 7 which is fantastic. I got it free with my XDA Orbit 2 last year and they let me transfer the license to my Omnia. Free monthly camera updates too :) Only use the most recent patched version though. Had some bad experiences with 'no motorway routes' last year! It has been fixed now though.
