Guest Sizzla
Hey there am new to the forums, i recently brought a omnia (Australian one) it branded with all vodafone crap on it, so am thinking of de-branding it, last couple of days i've been researching and reading up on roms. I think i understand on how to flash and etc but there a few question i got is someone could clear up before i got ahead with it. All i pretty much wanna do is just De-brand it for now. my phone is PDA: i900BUHJ2/BUHJ2 Phone: i900BUHI2 Would i use Grandprix to flash it or just the official samsung updater? Would i need to format the phone, could i just update straight ontop of my version? or would i need to make a foundation by installing DXHH1 first? am tossing of between DXHK3 and DTHJ5 from what i read it DXHK3 is more stable could someone give me there opinion between the two. i downloaded both version DXHK3 from the samsung site DTHJ5 from here http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-r...re-version-fix/ Edited January 6, 2009 by Sizzla
Guest murymury
use samsung official updater. no problems make sure you have the samsung cdma phone drivers installed 1st the firmware update process will delete everything on your pda and there is also an option for formating your memory card. before this you have to change you preconfiguration from australia to singapore. i havent used DTHJ5 but i am happy with DXHK3. better try it yourself or wait for someone to try it and tell you then.
