Guest thetwiztidfreak Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 (edited) can you please investigate about which version of htc x button is?or maybe give us a link to the discussion about the rom you installed. i have an htc x button on my omnia but not with thumb friendly boxes..the 1,5 version. yours version seems to be 2.0, but i thought it wasn't working on samsung omnia, and i'd like to find the cab to install it on mine. thanks I used X button 1.5 on my omnia and works great! I use the today 2 screen so not sure if it will work with M2D or any of the other interfaces. Also i am running the standrad verizon ROM. heres the cab file i used to install.vp3G_HTC_X_Button_1.5.cab Edited January 24, 2009 by thetwiztidfreak
Guest bruno.alencar Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 The general procedure is this. Original file(dll,exe..)----->unsign----->edit with resource editor------>sign the file(using sdk certificate)------>install in phone But because the rom does not include sdk certificate that's why we install sdkcerts.cab.It installs the certificate to the phone. The steps above are very important. If you don't unsign the file and edit it the probably you will mess things up. There are many guides at XDA and i believe here also. grigoris what program do you use to sign the files ?
Guest deepside Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 When I installed this, alot of my taskbar disappeared? The start button etc. I am running M2D ... any ideas?
Guest djtosh Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 yes u need to install sdkcerts and it will work
Guest grigoris_a Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 grigoris what program do you use to sign the files ? You can find it at xda. It's a complete pack with the signer and the certificates.

Guest jwhipple Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 Ok - I must be doing something wrong! I Installed the SDKCerts, then installed the V2 cab... After rebooting I got the new icons, but not the new black taskbars! Is there something that I have to do to activate them? This is on an i910 Omnia, .NET 3.5 installed... Also tried the the V1 cab - no change there either! Help!
Guest Adrynalyne Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 You need a flat black theme. Its not part of the taskbar icons.
