Guest qbus Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 yes yes qbus.. finally got kitchen running smoothly...built my ROMs, and upload them tomorrow.... how you get HTC Task manager to work in the ROM, i cooked it in with sztupys app and it wont work with the M2D, when its disabled, its cool? Am i missing something? No issues, just trying it out. I not a fan really, but just puzzled as to why it nah play ball? Keep up the good work dude. HI I've created that task but honestly never tested it :) . You can add taskman manually - just copy all of files except RGU to OEMApps and then append the content of that RGU to RGU from OEMApps.
Guest bobobird Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 Basically - In Lufeig's thread you can find CABs (but these are untested by me). On first post of this thread you can find repository (2 cabs for now) which were created and tested by me. I'm not sure what do you mean by "different designs". lf's cabs are from older ROMS and there could have been minor changes in the apps - eg I installed his SharePix and Smart Converter. Sharepix doesnt work and Converter starts behind the m2d skin. Different designs - put something in contacts page and then compare the layout of that page with the programs page. One is very nice, the other very old fashioned. Anycase you can ignore this - am going away from m2d forever particularly since the objective is NOT to make a useable rom. Perfectly finger friendly and full functioning apps are removed and in their place are left stylus happy apps for no good reason. All cooks should attend useability and human/computer interfacing classes first. :)
Guest shokka9 Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 didnt realise they were your tasks.. no mind, i try that way maybe. But not an issue for me. Trying to get a taskbar makeover app to work too in the kitchen, buildos doesnt like some of the dll's. where's there's a will, there's a way ! thanks for response.

I removed apps that are being used by minority - You're the first person who complains about removing SharePix and SmartConverter :D. If you like them you can always use Taril's ROM or create CABs with newer versions I'll be happy to put them in CABs repository :). Also you are first person complaining about layout ;) and you can always change it to one that you like using Manila Customizer.
Guest qbus Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 I've just updated the QB04M - used new Manila theme (to be original :)). If you like the old one or use another theme you don't have to upgrade.

Guest flex1 Posted January 25, 2009 Report Posted January 25, 2009 how to re-enable automatic lock when talking
Guest ronaldb3 Posted January 25, 2009 Report Posted January 25, 2009 (edited) EDIT: Done. I won't do with this ROM for next few days :D . I promise :) . I vote this Rom the best! - well at least the best for Me. Here's some thoughts why: - there are several Roms around here that look to be very good and also get very good feedback. - but I think that they are trimmed back way too far. (IMHO). - some things are good to go away that most all cooks take out. - but some things need to stay for stability of all, such as FM. - and I really believe that Mobile Office is important. This is what makes WM OS better/different that other OS's. - when a good Rom is trimmed way back, I have a lot of cabs to add to get my Omnia setup for my use, plus the additional programs I have to add from the beginning of first Samsung roms. - I wish I had the time and the smarts to cook my own rom. :) - but since I do not, I depend on the Cooks here and try to find a rom close to setup I need. - and finally, thanks to all the great cooks here who help the new cooks so we have even more roms to choose from. I would like to say thanks again to qbus by making a Paypal donation. How do I get a English(US) screen to do this? The current "Donate" button takes me to a screen (in Euros) that I cannot read. IMHO for all above, Thanks again to all the great cooks, Ron... Edited January 25, 2009 by ronaldb3
Guest qbus Posted January 25, 2009 Report Posted January 25, 2009 how to re-enable automatic lock when talking You have to get the original SECDialer.dll and replace it in \Windows folder.

Guest Shadowy Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 My operator doesn't appear in operator settings. Does this mean that I can't use this rom?
Guest qbus Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 My operator doesn't appear in operator settings. Does this mean that I can't use this rom? You can but you have to manually set up your gprs connection.
Guest Shadowy Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 You can but you have to manually set up your gprs connection. Thanks, I have to do that anyway after each flash so that's no problem.
Guest goran1985 Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 (edited) just wanna say...this is a good rom and i have only all the best opinions on it but i still think you are falling a little bit to TARIL's ROM... tested both and on his battery life is 25% better then on yours.. but it all depends from user to user and what for you need your OMNIA.. but all in all your ROM have room for improvements and my opinion is that you are on your best way... just keep up a good work...ALL THE BEST FROM CROATIA........ RotationService - I won't cook that into ROM (even it's my app :D ) - everyone can install it by themself. That's the philosophy of this ROM. 2 and 4. The same as point 3. 3. HTCEmu is provided
