The App to Date update went fine, and the new database downloaded.

This ran the installation with the usual 'remove older version first' message, but then after the file install progress bar finished, I got the 'Installation unsucessful' message.

However, all my relevant text files HAD updated correctly

Bizarre, and if you check for update it says there's no new ones available now?

Correct :)

This was on the Diamond. I'll try it on the Flint when I get home

Will recheck Diamond at next update.

Updated the updateer and updated the cameras... all went okay... must remember to delete the files.

Ran attached to my PC through company internet connection without problem.

Sorry to be picky... a Paul Apptodate update or a GPSWorld database update?

Hi,

I use TomTom on a TyTn-II, with a life-time PocketGPS subscription.

I'd love to help with testing.

What do you need from me?

The Beta release is ready! Visit this post for details!

New features added to the Beta! Visit this post for details!

- Are you a subscriber to the PocketGPS Speed Camera database?

- Do you use the database with TomTom (or perhaps another navigation solution)?

- Are you frustrated by manually downloading / decompressing / copying updates every time a new database comes online?

- Would an AppToDate script for deploying said updates be the answer to all your prayers?

If so, then please reply below to help me Beta test such a wonderous thing.

Hurrah! :)

Hi,

I use TomTom on a XDA Orbit 2, with a PocketGPSworld subscription.

I'd love to help with testing.

Went through fine on both Diamond and Flint (no repeat of previous error)

Hi Paul,

Great app, thanks.

Registered today and installed for mutiple apps and came across a slight error/bug. I use EUR maps and installed for both EUR and UK Consolditated cameras into Tomtom, sometimes in Europe I use Speed Sentry so I also installed your app with the EUR and UK Single file cameras. However when I am in the UK I sometimes switch maps to just the UK version as updates on the display are quicker and because I also use consolditated in there too at GPSWorld package 86 I am unable to install into your app as it is a different location but the same package.

Any solutions using the same GPSWorld Cameras possible?

Paul...

Hmm, hadn't considered the necessity for the same package in multiple locations.

I'll add the option to add a 'key' to the product name, allowing this.

Watch this space! :-)

Top app Paul. Been trying to figure out the most efficient way to keep my files up to date for a while now and this fits the bill perfectly. Paypal payment made. App installed perfectly and download of updates was seamless.
