Transfer files between Device and PC

I was wondering if there was any software that anybody could recommend for simply transfering files from my Windows XP PC to my HTC Touch Dual.

I using ActiveSync at the moment but it seems to have really messed up and I've tried everything I can to get it to work, but it wont. I can view what documents are on the phone, but I can't open them. I also can't drag and drop files from my PC to the device, the circle with the strike through it appears.

Any recommendations would be appreciated

does this mean not even Total Commander's WinCE File System plug-in works?
