Guest micrographics Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 Ansh If you have bought your Omnia in India and currently have ROM with DD initials then they will not ask you anything except the invoice copy first time and will update the ROM within 5-10 minutes. I've original rom version DDIC1 which is similar to DXIA5 but the file size is approx. 180 Mb hence I can not upload as of now. If you want then I'll upload it on rapidshare next month.

Anyways Thanks a lot.
Guest micrographics Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 Ansh I got this ROM about 6 months back and I think they must be having another update since then. By the way what problem you are facing with your touch screen.

Guest fusioncoast Posted March 5, 2010 Report Posted March 5, 2010 Hey Ramnath, Chill dude, be bold. I upgraded my Indian ROM from DDHH3 to DXIA5 using Windows Vista, I spent weeks reading and trying to figure out how to do the upgrade on WIndows Vista as I didn't have access to Windows XP. Eventually it was pretty easy. I was willing to take the risk. Just make sure you backup all your data before you start off. You can use your external Storage card to backup your data as flashing won't touch the External Storage. I also upgraded the OS from Windows 6.1 to 6.5 with Custom ROM with M2D from MODACO users (QBUS, Sector and Khauchai). It's very simple. My cellphone is amazing now If you need assistance, I am willing to help you all the way. Take Care [i need help i ended up screwing up the pcb the last time i tried to update to 6.5 the omnia needed 2 b jtagd but i was able to do it witha a hole in my pocket now my rom is DDHJ2 but i guess DDHH4 was the best rom and i still have 6.1 so dissapointing ]
Guest arungangh Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 please write in detail as i too wana upgrade my i900 to wm6.5 and latest upgrade
Guest Ramnath Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Hello, Sorry for getting back after a year. Eventually, I was able to fix the issue, I dont remember how, and I decided not to flash my ROM. One question that I have is, if the internal GPS locked by default. I saw few posts saying that i900 internal gps is locked, bought from verizon. I am not sure, if this lock is done through the mobile carriers (in my case Orange), or Phone manufactures (Samsung). thanks,
