To change the green window start up then replace welcomehead.96.png to what ever file you like under window dir.

Question: I down load these *.gif files change name to ani_poweron.gif and replaced it in window dir.

My problem: the *.gif doesn't flash like it should be. It just showed up as a picture file. Do I need something else?

You need to resize the images to 240x400 for them to animate correctly.
