I had just such a skin for my Nokia 8210 about 6 years ago, silicon rubber and with thick "shoulders" on each corner of the phone (it was also slightly luminescent, which was rather cool!). (I'm looking for pictures to demonstrate what I mean at present and will post when I find some - or take pics of the skin I've got). Best pic found so far... http://www.cellphoneshop.net/fornokia8260.html Strikes me that something similar would be great for PDA type phones - not as bulky as a true armoured case (otter box style), but with more protection than the very thin silicon skins which (imo) are more about protection from slight scuffing.
