Guest flanker1743 Posted March 27, 2009 Report Posted March 27, 2009 I've tried all of your landscape mods on my i910, landscape is still broken. Portrait works great, though! Any clues?

Could you please post a screenshot or at least better description - what is wrong with your keyboard in landscape? Regards
Guest dexstar Posted March 27, 2009 Report Posted March 27, 2009 Did you try "Defualt IM"? - see post #90 at the page 5 of this thread... It works for me. Regards works perfect now, i also did a registry hack and deleted the standard keyboards.
Guest SuzukiDan Posted March 27, 2009 Report Posted March 27, 2009 (edited) So has anyone got the vibration feature on keypress to work? I tried that haptic feedback thing linked previously in this thread and it did not work. It installed ok but nothing, no vibration ever. In fact, it seemed to screw with my window colors / positioning a little.. seemed buggy so I uninstalled it. Also, when pressing buttons, I also noticed the quick flash of the letter above the key you hit, to let you know which key you hit, is too slow of a response. It takes about half a second sometimes and by then it activates the 2nd key function and types a punctuation instead of the letter I hit. Also, how come I cant find some characters in the layout anywhere, such as $ ? Edited March 27, 2009 by SuzukiDan
Guest xfer85 Posted March 29, 2009 Report Posted March 29, 2009 Lets say after installing this, does it overwrite my existing default omnia options, or does it simply give me an additional option when choosing the type of keyboard im comfortable with?
Guest maad11 Posted March 30, 2009 Report Posted March 30, 2009 Lets say after installing this, does it overwrite my existing default omnia options, or does it simply give me an additional option when choosing the type of keyboard im comfortable with? After the installation, there is just another keyboard in your choice list. The Samsung one is still your default, unless you play with some software that was mentioned in this thread earlier. Regards
Guest maad11 Posted March 30, 2009 Report Posted March 30, 2009 Yeah, here's a screen of the screen when I try and use landscape. That looks really bad... Does it happen on a fresh install (without the mods)? I would suggest to uninstall the keyboard, manually remove all possibly left files, soft reset, do the installation again and check every time you try to apply each mod. Maybe you will find what is causing that nasty behavior. It never happened to me so, it is hard to provide a quick solution. Also, I heard that Finger Keyboard might cause some bugs if there is some other third party keyboard installed (resco, spb, etc) - maybe this is your case. Please try the clean install and let me know. Regards
Guest steff195 Posted March 30, 2009 Report Posted March 30, 2009 (edited) Does anyone know why, lately, FingerKeyboard doesn't appear as the default keyboard on my Omnia after soft reset? I set it as the default keyboard with SK Tools (in Input Methods), it shows there that this is the default IM... but after soft reset... still the Samsung keyboard. For some time it worked, but now lately... Could it be from some installed programs to cause that? Please anyone, an opinion? Edited March 30, 2009 by steff195
Guest jpetrarca Posted March 30, 2009 Report Posted March 30, 2009 Is there anyway to get the vibration to occur while stroking a key.
Guest volsmcfalls Posted March 30, 2009 Report Posted March 30, 2009 Is there a way to make this vibrate on touch? I think I might have to get TouchResponse to do that, but thought I would check if anyone had a work-around?
Guest rhye999 Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 Hello, is there a way to hide the small bar which lets you hide or see the keyboard in port mode as its with landscape mode?
Guest flanker1743 Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 It worked in portrait after applying mods 2 and 5. It did not work after just applying mod 2 on the black themes. On landscape, I tried mod 4, and got it to get past the "no skin file present" error message, but I got the same results. Tried applying mod 5 with the same results. I have no third party keyboards installed, too. I dunno what to do, and it's making me frustrated because it's such a pretty keyboard! Any suggestions?uip
Guest TheDrizzle Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 Is there anyway to get the vibration to occur while stroking a key. I think version 2.1 will support this, but in the meantime you can get this "touch response" program: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=450256 It will make the phone vibrate when the screen is touched in all apps. Use ID 11 for Omnia.
Guest xfer85 Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 I just realised that the iphone keyboard doesnt support dictionary, which means i'll have to type it letter by letter. Hmm, i think this would be slightly slower than phonepad's.

The program does not appear anywhere on my phone except for a couple files on my storage, both of which when I run them it opens them in Opera and nothing happens. No vibration feedback in fingerkeyboard yet.

It should have put a control panel in your system tab (or one of the tabs...) of your settings folder and you have to specify the device ID of 11 to get it to work.
Guest SuzukiDan Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 It should have put a control panel in your system tab (or one of the tabs...) of your settings folder and you have to specify the device ID of 11 to get it to work. It did not. I've browsed windows and windows/system folders too and cant find anything. My settings menu shows nothing, nor does my program list. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app with the same result. Has anyone actually had this work?
Guest Omega Ra Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 When I tried to install it I get this..."Skin error: resolution for screen size not found!" and I also put in the new skin files and they don't help...I can't get ANY skin working...
Guest azemeis Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 I can stop the sound when typing. Any help
Guest Lancez Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 (edited) I can stop the sound when typing. Any help delete the wav. sound from folder.............. been using this for a quite a while, pretty good stuff, although i love the black and red layout. but is there anyway that we can make it more readable? i meant, in the green and grey layout, when u press any key, it'll show a green colored shade on the grey keyboard, that makes it very clear to read and knowing that u r pressing the right key, especially when u try to type PIN or password....... but when u use the black and red layout, it only shows the same black color when u press keys, if we can make it to a different color such as white or yellow, wouldnt that be much better? im not good at editting, hopefully someone can give it a try? thanks Edited April 2, 2009 by Lancez
Guest TheDrizzle Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 I can stop the sound when typing. Any help I posted the fix on the first page, post #11. You have to edit the default skin config file. According to the XDA thread, v2.1 will allow you to change this in the options as opposed to changing it in the config file.
