I'd prefer the standard interface for now, at least until the issues with the WM7 theme are sorted out. Which they may be by then :excl:

Hi Sector,

Just some feedback on the earlier post re the cpr update and suchlike.

I think your v2a cpr's are from an older version of the xda-dev version (judging by the header remarks)? Updates coming out fast n' furious at xda-dev for the cpr's. The authors' incorporated my updates in the current 6.6beta.

Differences I can see between the cprs:

Programs: xda-dev WM7 uses WelcomeCentre instead of CLinks for this.

Opera: the cpr text is inluded with the xda-dev version, but not the panel, whereas you do (which is cool btw).

FavePeople: I think you're fixing the FavePeople registry keys on installation (so that manual editing is not needed) and setting the "SettingsText" as the expanded "PluginLabel" - both very nice changes that help things a lot.

I'm not wild about the kludge for the FavePeople expanded panel (icon over contact) and would prefer to try and keep things consistent, even if there is some bleed from the icon behind the contact image. At least until the author sorts it out anyway. I do like what you've done to use the "SettingsText" as the "PluginLabel" though - I've grabbed that idea if that's ok (image 4 vs image 5).

Windows Live: Yours still has the distorted Windows Live icon on the expanded panel (image 1 vs image 2)

Titanium Weather: Yours is 3.1(.2?), xda-dev is still 2.1. Point to note is about the weather panel I've fixed up - this is for the M2D icons only. Still need to work on the other iconsets. Also the weather panel did not display correctly (image 3).

Overall: The xda-dev version is simple to uninstall/update. With yours I had to do a full SpbBackup restore (the Titanium Default Restore.cab didn't work for me) :excl:

I think that's about the lot if I haven't missed anything. Hope it's of some help to get closer towards the WM7 theme :excl:

Sector. How do you change the left today screen softkey from phone to contacts. sktools doesnt work nor does keyswop.

WM7 all the way sector... honeycombs or no honeycombs doesn't really matter. I like the look but meh... maybe speed may be preferential.

Also on a side note, im going to do a hard reset on my phone, should just installing the wm7 theme be enough or am i going to have to re-install the fave people cab. If i have to reinstall the fave people cab is there an updated one i should use.

As always i am here to test your stuff on my phone if ever needed, just let me know.

Yep they must be kept, kept out of the next rom release that is :excl: Express your opinion dont enforce it! As far as wm7 goes I personally dont use neither wm7 or Titanium but I guess in the interest of the further development of mw7 it will be good to cook it in as people will ocasionally use it and you will get some feedback :excl:

why?! you can do it yourself very easily!!!!

- enable/disable panels with chome config; HERE

- don`t install wm7 interface;

- you can disable samsung keyboard through registry

Let's just compromise...

Just attach the file(I forgot the name already) that controls the format of the start menu, without hexagons, so that our friends who don't like hexagons can remove it..

Someone gave me a copy before to remove hexagons during the early builds and it works fine. Anyway, I feel it is better now in the later builds, hexagons don't slow the scrolling down much anymore.

Minor Bug on Titanium Weather .. got your latest cab.. update doesn't reflect.. you need to disable today then go to titanium weather setup --> update.. re-enable today then weather update reflects..

on your previous version this works okay.. without disabling the today to see the weather updates...

agree with kurniawan, wm 6.5 will be released without hexagons, will place them if i want to

WM7 interface is great but again an added overhead (probably) to include in the ROMs, and come on, installing a cab is really easy, it'll actually be great (just a suggestion) if someone can be in charge of updating and enhancing it instead of sector (just offload the... load of him). just another 2 cents.
