Guest copperfield Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 (edited) guys i have one question. i have it working now but microsoft added more programs and they take too much space. do u want me to remove them? if yes which ones? also i have added new panels so they take space. do u prefer them separately? Both extra progs and panels in separate cabs! But this is just me couse I dont use titanium and the new progs I guess we could choose the ones we want without stuffing up the memory! I hope the stability wont suffer from all the removing! Any comment about the lock-screen bug?! Edited May 15, 2009 by copperfield
Guest sector Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 lockscreen works. anw i will remove what i think it is better. i will make some more tests and upload soon
Guest Omnia-Winker Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 in my opinion, again, remove all the programs that you can provide us in cab files. in that way you give us the opportunity to install what we want :D and the same what we don`t what like myself  agree. I just didnt know how possible it to .cab all optional components.. Sector also...I think we would all prefer a stable rom with less space to a unstable one with loads of space
Guest fmsesana Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Well as i can see they have added LiveSearch, VoiceCommand, VoIP Messenger same Widgets (Weather, Money) Skybox (sync online contacts) Skymarket (marketplace) Office, OneNote ( i have them as cab they can be installed in \My Storage) also some new ringtones ( i can give u as a cab or smth) i think thats it. They increased also space in core files so i cant do more about it. I can try to optimize some but it might get instability on system. Hi But office and one notes is new or still the same?
Guest gianton Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 lockscreen works. anw i will remove what i think it is better. i will make some more tests and upload soon Also pls remove any keyboard. We can install our favorite one from cabs.

Guest nks Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 I too have an issue with current state of the phone, however I am not sure if it is. M3 The latest phone part or T-Mobile - uk I find people inform me they have rung but no indication on the phone, I have tried this myself......ring the phone from a uk landline and get voice mail. even though the phone is on and ready to recieve call..... anyone with similar issue would love to know..... Omnia-Winker Yep Have the same issue here and i am with T-Mobile, using M3 i was beginning to think it was my phone, strange me thinks ?? Nic

Guest maurocchio1987 Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 in my opinion you can leave all programs... if someone want a lite rom i'm sure that other cookers will make a clean rom with this new build (like Khuanchai or dddrko)
Guest Omnia-Winker Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Omnia-Winker Yep Have the same issue here and i am with T-Mobile, using M3 i was beginning to think it was my phone, strange me thinks ?? Nic ha I thought I was the only one. if it still occurs ith N1 I am thinking it a operatr issue

Guest copperfield Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Sector can I ask you something about the final version when it comes out one day, of wm 6.5? Its about the Today screen. Is it going to be the same one, you know the boring one where you just add some plug-ins mostly with really boring grafics and are just stuffing up the screen? Or is there something new insted of it, more flexible and customizable and more importantly - more usable! Is there going to be any possibility to add shortcuts on the Today screen like in SPB 3?? Thank You

Guest copperfield Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 ha I thought I was the only one. if it still occurs ith N1 I am thinking it a operatr issue Most issues of this sort, if not all, are coused by the operator!!!
Guest copperfield Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 so remove also fingerkeyboard etc? OEMapps that can be installed separately? i have to go in a while so let me know please. only the important ones could be kept Well leave at least one keyboard  like I use the default one, Samsung's! All the rest I think have to go, yep. For the rest +1 :D
Guest Von Ropen Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 don't think that's a great idea, since i installed DXID1 everyone i call complains that they cant hear me, theres something very wrong with this firmware in terms of call quality I have the same problem... people sometimes do not ear me...
Guest Ricardo de Abreu Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Sector, may I ask a dump question? Does your rom have the XT9 input with Portuguese (BR) dict? Or there is any way to install it? Thanks a lot Ricardo AH>>> In Brazil there is a issue with TIM sim card, if we accept the sim card configurations our cell phone keeps rebooting, the only way to solv this issue is to set the phone to Philippines and Global operator. Could you take a look at this issue latter, maybe for the next relese?
Guest rappetor Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 so remove also fingerkeyboard etc? OEMapps that can be installed separately? i have to go in a while so let me know please. only the important ones could be kept If you ask me, you can remove the OEM apps, but only if you can supply seperate cabs for them. But stuff like MS MyPhone would be awesome to have in the ROM by default. Same goes for VoiceCommand. Some things are just the extra's that make WM6.5. Even when they take more space. Skybox and Skymarket are nice examples. I have no problem with it when you remove them and make an extra cab to install. I install everything automaticly anyway, up and running in 5 mins after flashing . But those things are the WM 6.5 bits that make WM6.5. So you can just as well leave them in there for maximum compatibility :D.

Guest vinbeaver Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 IMO keep finger keyboard, as far as everything else goes... If we can install by .cab then lose it, if not leave it. Thanks Sector!

I agree!! Kill anything that can be installed later. You know the Rom better than any of us so I'm sure we'll be happy with your decision Sector :D
