Please do accept these apologize in the name of all the spamers, but you know, people have to kill time, do you know that some people took a day off today JUST because N1 was annouced? I'm at work because I can't miss a friday without endangering my reputation, and you know this s*** can take up to some years to build, and some minutes to be completely destroyed. I guess the FingerKeyb's skin that you put along miss many chars and symbol, I don't have the single quote mark and other commonly used symbol. Hope you could put the default skin layout keys :D

Hi All,

Today I just installed this rom, "DXID1_21222_vM3.exe", and I'm finding out that when I turn off the screen, some times when I try to wake up the mobile, it freeze... Anyone has a solution for this or this is a common issue?

I will appreciate very much any help.

LiveSearch - remove!

VoiceCommand - keep (agree with thePuck, let's try it)

VoIP - keep if it's smaller / better than Skype or whatever else.

Messenger - happy to keep as default if the footprint is small

Weather Widget - remove (most people are using Titanium Weather I think)

money Widget - I dunno, unless you're a trader...

Skybox (sync online contacts) - remove

Skymarket (marketplace) - remove

Office, OneNote - keep

Ringtones - remove if it helps to trim things, add as a cab download on 1st post. Probably the same goes for any new ding-dong alarm sounds MS has included ;p

Other things to possibly consider:

- Standard games - people can load those depending on what they want anyway.

- Favorite Hackings? It's a great app but the layout drives me nuts. Much prefer Schap's Advanced Config, but this probably weighs in at quite a bit compared to FavHackings?

My 2c anyway.

It's a common issue, no fixes. N1 is about to be released maybe today or tomorrow. Just flash to that when released.

I think i will make 1 semi-lite and 1 ~lite

I will try to make cabs for MSN stuff, and remove also the uneeded OEMApps.

EDIT: just removed office only and have around 20mb in use. i will check one more thing with office integrated and see how it goes.

They might have included some more sh*t inside, as it totally sucks for me :D))

By the way, we might go for a vote on bare-bones of a ROM, maybe that can help you. I mean, I don't know how many people (other than me) use FKB2.1 (and only it?) as the keyboard, and how many people would be interested in having others... (I know there are a lot of apps out there, but maybe the apps from M3 that can be installed as a cab can be voted...)

What do you think, sector?

My list for voting would be:

- Finger Keyboard 2.1 - Pretty mature and as far as I can see, it's heavily used

- Some good-looking weather app - every body needs to check weather once in a while, right?

- IMSelector - I think this would end up all thumbs up, so not really needed to vote?

- G-Alarm maybe? - Pretty mature (no new versions for a while) and a nice alarm clock wrt. the original

- NoData - Same as IMSelector, pretty sure that would become a "MUST" app

And exclusion list might be: (apps that wouldn't be included in a ROM IMHO)

- MS Facebook App - because it's under heavy development and new versions pop out every other day. Can have problems over-writing...

- Twikini / PockeTwit - same as Facebook

Both lists can of course be expanded, but a vote would be nice. And the results can be "kind of sticky"...

It's just a matter of copying a few text and image files man! The ROM needs a keyboard and someone else might come up saying "I'm using black or pink version of Samsung Keyboard"...

How come?

We should try to think more general... I don't use MSN Messenger, ever, but if a lot of people ask for it, and it's a real pain to install, go ahead, i can live with an icon there...
