Your own version of fingerkeyboard, or just your own skin?

It's just a matter of copying a few text and image files man! The ROM needs a keyboard and someone else might come up saying "I'm using black or pink version of Samsung Keyboard"...

How come?

We should try to think more general... I don't use MSN Messenger, ever, but if a lot of people ask for it, and it's a real pain to install, go ahead, i can live with an icon there...

let me rephrase that. I use a different prepackaged version. It has its own skins attached to it... Is there any way to extract the skins from the package?

include everything and include cab for apps removed . A lite version doesn't achieve anything :D

They might have included some more sh*t inside, as it totally sucks for me :D ))

By the way, we might go for a vote on bare-bones of a ROM, maybe that can help you. I mean, I don't know how many people (other than me) use FKB2.1 (and only it?) as the keyboard, and how many people would be interested in having others... (I know there are a lot of apps out there, but maybe the apps from M3 that can be installed as a cab can be voted...)

What do you think, sector?

My list for voting would be:

- Finger Keyboard 2.1 - Pretty mature and as far as I can see, it's heavily used

- Some good-looking weather app - every body needs to check weather once in a while, right?

- IMSelector - I think this would end up all thumbs up, so not really needed to vote?

- G-Alarm maybe? - Pretty mature (no new versions for a while) and a nice alarm clock wrt. the original

- NoData - Same as IMSelector, pretty sure that would become a "MUST" app

And exclusion list might be: (apps that wouldn't be included in a ROM IMHO)

- MS Facebook App - because it's under heavy development and new versions pop out every other day. Can have problems over-writing...

- Twikini / PockeTwit - same as Facebook

Both lists can of course be expanded, but a vote would be nice. And the results can be "kind of sticky"...

sorry dude but im not adding more apps on the rom . it will become overloaded.

G-Alarm etc can be installed separately.

Weather-app u have Titanium Weather. You can disable it if u dont like it.

NoData - i never use it but could be cooked.

The rest what i include are known.

FKb i think it is better than samsung. It is a matter of taste.

On lite rom i will remove for sure Office. I will make cabs but not now cause im a bit wasted with all these .

If i recall correctly, its the one from this thread here.

http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-h...ga/#entry998668

the main difference is the period is a standalone key. I use the period so much its really easy to press it to long & get multiple characters plus the keyboard.

it is very easy you have to replace skin-02-wqvga-port-01-eng.txt and skin-02-wqvga-land-01-eng.txt (if you are using english) from you cab to \Program Files\Fingerkeyboard\Skins\

what about the lighter version? :D

i need to rest dude.

maybe tomorrow. take care.

start posting what you want me to remove for the lite.

even though i have installed all my apps to \My Storage\ now and this version it is pretty good.

The only real space you will get if i remove Office and Fingerkeyboard kind of. The rest are needed or nice to have.

But if someone wants a customizable personal rom a good donation (BEEEERS) will do it

2nd that.

If someone doesn't want to take the time to have to install a few apps maybe you should PM a couple people and gather up some beer money for a CUSTOM custom rom.

Thanks for the work SECTOR.

Edit--- just a thought

SECTOR--

would it be worth it to adding a link at the top of the 2nd post to another discussion about WM 6.5 customization

it might help keep this thread cleaner and get people somewhere with answers to specific customization, panel quesitons etc.

Just flash L2 first to get phone D1 on your Omnia. Then flash N1.

GOD DAMM. do you rest at all? :D

what i really like is something without microsoft s**t :D . if we can`t install office to sorage card....well, leave it. of course, i don`t really know what`s the "space" that we gain by removing microsoft applications.

Don't forget Voice Command is not free program. Cooks do not like to add buy programs to roms. (good idea too).
