Guest sys_error Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 Sector and guys... Please dont get me wrong. I'm in Sector's kitchen, i'll eat whatever crabs he cook but please, please... no craps. On 2nd thought, i'm fine without FingerKeyBoard cook into the crab. I can always install from a cab (taxi?)... I hard reset twice last night and re-install back all 24 apps using Install Express, then i drain the battery till shut off... left to charge overnight, remove it at 7.30am this morning, now is close to 10:47am, battery level is still 100%... let see how long it can last this time round.

In Call Recorder -- It has an option to record the call in the Phone Menu and saved to \My Documents\Notes. Edited June 11, 2009 by dannych99
Guest Higgins12 Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 I flashed back to 21731 ROM now , got a Phonecall in the morning and talked around 5 Minutes , the Battery dropped from 98 to 75 % :-( (3G is dissabled btw.) hope it can be fixed in the next Version. No rush sector, just if you can do it would be pretty nice.
Guest new2city Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 For those of you who are having the issues with battery drain, try going through a couple full charging cycles and that should correct the issue. I am not experiencing any battery drain whatsoever. As for those of us who are complaining about what we want or don't want in as well... I agree with the chefs. They are doing us a service and trying to please the general majority. If they leave something in or out that you want or don't want just add it... not that big of a deal. Let's just be thankful to them. Hi guys, I think vinbeaver's got a point, as my battery life seems to be improving after 3 days on T1Lite. Been charging and discharging(not intentionally though) the pass few days and now the battery display seems to be be slowing down in discharging unlike the first few days. Perhaps, you guys should give it a run for a week or so before commenting. In fact, I would have to suggest(although it goes against my flashing instincts) to the cooks.. to... perhaps limit ... I am really struggling to say this.. for the cooks to release only a ROM a week.. yikes, I said it.. :D I don't like it either guys, but if there is too many outburst/complaints on ROMs, we might one day piss off our cooks.. and end up with a really incomplete ROM.. just my 2 cents...
Guest Downloaderz Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 I encountered a few glitches/bugs when changing from portrait to landscape and vice versa. 1) A tiny part of FingerKeyboard appears on the upper left side of the screen 2) CAnalog digital clock goes out of shape when refreshing Is it just me or is everyone else experiencing the same? Any possible fixes to it?
Guest vinbeaver Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 Now I got a question here... is there a way to set a different wallpaper for portrait and landscape?
Guest Genix9 Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 Now I got a question here... is there a way to set a different wallpaper for portrait and landscape? Try tdywater_240_400.jpg for portrait and tdywater_400_240.jpg for landscape, should work.
Guest vinbeaver Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 Try tdywater_240_400.jpg for portrait and tdywater_400_240.jpg for landscape, should work. So basically rename my wallpapers to those and copy to \Windows? Am I correct? The reason I asked is actually I don't ever use landscape on my phone but I have been creating wallpapers lately and have created a thread to pass them along and thought of doing 400x240 as well but wasn't sure if we could do that. And seeing as how we can I will post that information in there as well.

Guest leoms17 Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 First og all I would like to thank you guys for working your asses off cooking these wonders! The last posts have tried to add some perspective to what this forum really means, can it be stressed enough? I mean, we are getting far better roms for our phones than anything Samsung has ever done, and Sector and the rest of the guys aren't charging us a cent for it... and they have to cope with anxious and spoiled demands and complaints (don't know what I want but I want it now) So I'm a newbie and I'll say this to the newbies: Have you got questions? Search the forum, there's a search button on the top of this page to go through all topics. There's a search box at the end of every page to search through this particular topic, so no complaints about the topic having 270+ pages... No answers? well then it's time to post your questions. I'm not running T1 now, stayed in R1 by now, but it seems more and more clear that people haven't charged their batteries well after flashing T1. The last ROMs came pretty quick one after the other. Flashing them and doing hard resets and soft resets has surely taken it's toll on your batteries, and you have probably just charged it a bit just to be able to get going. The battery issue is something that is explained in this forum, I've read it for a long time ago, and the process of fully depleting the battery and fully charging again ('till you get the green light ++) has done the trick for me EVERY time. It's been also said before, but clearly not enogh: read the second post!! many answers are there! How many people have asked about how to set honeycomb in the start menu? And we have to live with some facts here: 1) Not all our questions will be answered (some of mine haven't and that's just the way it is) 2) Even when these guys do far more than one could ask them to do, WM6.5 on Omnia is an ongoing project ...and WM6.5 isn't even final yet. Be grateful! 3) Like the Cook himself says: "if you dont like it dont flash it" Keep up the good work both cooks and testers! Cheers!
Guest InvalidCast Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 i'm on T1 lite (18mb) since monday morning. did not notice battery pb. used igo for about 2h (yes on charge in my car, but if the battery drained so fast, it may have gone down even on charge with such a power hungry app) had some phone calls (for a total of about 1h) no sms, no internet and i don't use weather panel in titanium i did not notice any meaning difference compared to other 6.5 sector roms i used although i think the pb some people have is more related to charge / discharge cycles, maybe trying do disable background task (such as weather) could help. i really do agree that people who got the pb should wait a little (at least 2 or 3 charge / discharge cycles) before coming too fast to conclusions.
Guest Rauliki Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 Any news about wifi turning itself on (T1)? Its annoying cause you heve to reset. No other solution worksb
Guest forelli Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 ok take it easy. it has be been discussed several times. if you dont like it dont flash it. hi sector, thanks again for 21806, I don't experience problems I can't overcome, I guess I'm lucky on this one. Just a question, is it possible to add the 1% battery in your Elite taskbar, or in another taskbar? It would look nice. Of course, only if you want to, if you have time, etc., you already know :D Keep it up forelli
Guest forelli Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 1) I have the same issue 2) I don't use CAnalog 1. +1 2. I do use cAnalog clock (the new one), and if u disable and enable titanium (or Windows default), everything will be fine again. Don't forget that we don't even have a beta version of wm6.5. Microsoft is having (I'm convinced of it) some people 24h a day on forums (the correct form should be fora?) like modaco, just to see what's not working properly yet on wm6.5 and to try to fix it. btw, MS ppl, when will you release a rom with a working mouse? Can't wait to see that... forelli
Guest akom666 Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 Hi, it's any way to insert the spanish mui in this rom? Thanks
Guest Aroboy II Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 If battery really run out fast reflash to the former ROM. Wait for better dish. :D Thank you you guys who put in effort to cook up the ROMs.

I always wait till the phone warns about low battery and fully recharge it till the led is green (over night charge)... I also flashed it back to 21731 and I have no problems with that version but there are no pagepool size optimizations and also the english voice commander is preinstalled....
Guest Genix9 Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 I also flashed it back to 21731 and I have no problems with that version but there are no pagepool size optimizations and also the english voice commander is preinstalled.... The pagepool size is set to 14Mb on 21731. Just a thought there to everyone having battery drain issues (and those not) - what version of the phone ROM are you using? Maybe whichever version is battling with the new PDA-part ROMs in some way?

Watch your language please. == It is hard to investigate the error as it happens to randomly although i have some ideas but i have to check it out. Anyway i will make 2 versions in next rom, one with and one without the battery. Although the pagepool size will be equal for everyone. cheers PS. my experience also with the driver. i had a bit faster draining problems at the beginning but i gave it some time to adjust, and hey it is stable now.

Guest SnoopyDog Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 (edited) One intermediate result regarding battery capacity with the patched zylonite driver: After 2 days (minus 4 hours) of normal usage (some phone calls, using BlueTooth in car, surfing in internet with Wifi) the capacity still shows 65% . I think this is normal for an Omnia (?) So i think there is no problem with the patched battery driver. On the other hand: if the battery control logic gets the funny jumping values (which were smoothed by the original driver), it maybe gets confused an makes wrong conclusions (?) - don't know. Just say thanks to Sector for another good ROM :D Edited June 10, 2009 by SnoopyDog
Guest Hitchi Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 Watch your language please. == It is hard to investigate the error as it happens to randomly although i have some ideas but i have to check it out. Sorry for that... sounds harder than it was meant... but here are not only 2 people who have this issues so this is not a imagination :-). I'm using XXIB2 as Phone Part (german). Strange that there are no problems before. I'll give it 1-2 more days but I already charged it several times till the LED is green.
Guest Doc Chaos Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 (edited) Hello everyone. I am using an i900 purchased and operated in germany and I encountered the following problem: Flashing works perfectly, the phone runs stable and smooth, but when the screen is turned on it emitts a kind of humming/buzzing, very high frequency, like the display is powered with to much voltage. It doesnt change when I change brightness. If I turn the screen off the sound goes away. I tried the following builds: 21806 18MB, 21806 14MB and 21731. Has anyone else encountered something like this, or could suggest a way to maybe get rid of this noise? It is not very loud, but the frequency is skull-splittingly high :/ Edited June 10, 2009 by Doc Chaos
Guest ChandanS Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 friends, please share your conclusion about different pagepool size. I am sticking to 731 ROM as there are 4 versions of 806 ROMS (Khuanchai 12 & 16 MB, sector 14 & 18 MB) and difference is only in pagepool size. in Khuanchai's thread some ppl said that with 16 MB pagepool size large movie files get stuck!!! Here most ppl (who installed 18MB rom) are quite happy with performance. I hope from the performance of these, cookers will reach to a decision to be sticked to 1 or 2 certain pagepool size. and thanks sector and Khuanchai, you are doing great jobs.
